Hey guys! So I am super excited about booking at BLT. We are going down Oct 6-10 as a short anniversary trip to enjoy F&W.... Well, it started out, lets book at OKW (home resort) a studio is a pretty frugal expenditure of point, then it turned on wishing for a standard studio to be avail at BWV, then we decided lets splurge.... Garden View or Boardwalk View or Beach Club! Well, yeah, none of those options worked out and we booked this morning at our 7 month window at BLT Lake View... Darn! :p

So we weren't planning on staying at BLT for a while, and going with our mini munchkins when we did... So I never really researched the resort. Most of the stuff seems pretty common but I have a question or two.... I know everyone has different opinions on certain things but we like trying and doing new things.

Does the Contemporary Grounds make good coffee? I don't need a latte or espresso.. Just good coffee with milk... I'm not sure if we will be flying, driving (process of getting house on market) and if we will get a rental... Plus, I'm on vacation :yay: and would just like to grab my coffee and go...

Also, is there anything that is a must do at the resort? Aside from the obvious, we have taken our picture with the mickey ears out back and have done a little exploring there, dined at California Grill, and the Wave.... We do plan on going to the TOTWL for drinks one night.... Thanks in advance to all the BLT veterans! :goodvibes

I love the coffee there, so much so that I will hope on the monorail on a MK day to go over and get a GOOD cup of coffee.

Thanks! A good cup of real coffee is important and can be far too elusive at WDW... :)

Walk back and forth to MK. We love being able to walk to MK. Yes, and sometimes we even like to walk back to BLT -- those times when the park is closing and the entire world is waiting for the monorail.

We've done that a few times after valet parking Its really a pretty walk too. :)

Out of curiosity we want to go to Artists Point. Is there a boat across the lake?

Thanks!

We have never taken it, but yes there is a boat. There are several that run along the Seven Seas Lagoon for various trips. I believe there is one that serves the CR, WL and Fort Wilderness.

The boat is one of the "must-dos" for us when visiting our home resort, BLT. One boat will be going in the direction of CR-VWL-FW and another boat will be going CR-FW-VWL.

Artist Point is a perfect adults-only special dinner. The tables are set further apart so you can have a "romantic" dinner.

Hope that helps.

That is great to know! I think Artist's Point will be our actual anniversary dinner (which is our arrival night) We also would like to go to Citrico's and the Flying Fish. We watched some youtube videos of the actual resort and it looks beautiful inside BLT and outside. I had never seen much of it before except from outside the back exit of the Contemporary.

Victoria & Albert's is on the monorail too, if you want REALLY high end!!

I've debated it... And debated it... and debated it some more. We have a TiW card too, so the discount would be pretty great, the only thing keeping me from actually booking it is the time involved, I heard its a few hours, that its not just dinner but an "experience"...... We have 4 nights, and are thinking of MNSSHP and we also want to enjoy what F&W has to offer... Hmmm maybe I should ask if there is a running trail around BLT?!? :lmao: We love vacationing with my MIL and family so thinking that might be a good date night down the road :)
