Just booked airtran for a great Rate!

Ok I had to share because now it seems real we are going again. We got 4 round trip non-stop flights out of Portland Maine for 788.00 that includes seat assigments. It will cost as another 60.00 for bags. But still better than SW and alot closer. We also got free dining. I'm just doing the happy dance. If I would have waited til this morning I would have saved a addtional 64.00 because the flight went down to 74.00. But I'm still happy with the deal I got.

Me, too! I found the thread last night about the $25 discounts at Airtran so I used 4 email addresses to get four discounts. The non-stop flights I wanted though were $124 at 1 am and I just couldn't bring myself to book them. I was considering flights with one stop that were $79 and $88. This morning when I checked Airtran again, the nonstops were ALSO back to $79 and $88 at Airtran! Yay!

So, I went to kayak.com and used that site to get to Airtran to book my flights. That way I got FREE seat assignments. Then I used $25 for each of us (DH and me) for the one way flight down and then again for the one way flight home in December.

In total, I paid only $273.40 for the two of us or $136.70 each for round trip fllights from Milwaukee to Orlando in December!

Glad you got some good rates. I booked yesterday with Airtran, but missed out on the $25.00 coupon. I did however book through American Express so that I could pay with partial reward points which shaved $50 off my flight. Since the fares dropped $40 in less than 12 hours, I called back today to see if there was anything they could do. Well they were able to cancel and rebook my flight for the lower fare! Airtran is running some great specials right now - hope anyone else reading this is able to take advantage!

Wow! The flights I got this morning at $79 and $88 before the $25 coupons are now back up to the $124 that they were at 1 am! I wonder if there was a glitch in the Airtran system this morning that had all the flights on those days at the same price when they weren't supposed to be! Either that or they are now changing flight costs up and down almost hourly.

I looked for our dates this AM, and the had $79 and up in the webfares. Just checked again, and all the fares are gone except for the 314 advance purchase.

I wanted to switch our flight to the nonstop flight since time had changed, but there was no price for the nonstop flight. Now I dont know what to do.

I booked a flight this morning at $64 (one way). I just rechecked it and you are right . . . all of the cheap rates are gone. The cheapest is now $168. Glad I booked when I did.

Same thing for me. Roundtrip has been almost 400 p/p on all airline but this morning it was down to 188 on Airtran - I booked and so glad I did b/c it went back up not long after. Too bad I did not see the $25 codes first!! I did use them to book my seats though!! Still very happy with my deal!!
