So, on Monday we decided that we should go to WDW for my birthday. We are going to do the F&W feat on Nov 7th and the first MVMCP on the 8th. I ordered Monday online (got a pretty good AP room rate). Monday afternoon I received an email from Disney saying I had been selected to be part of the MagicBand test. I picked our fastpass+ rides, which I found pretty easy, we got everything we wanted. This morning I received an email from Disney at about 7:45am saying my magicbands had shipped. About 8:45am, when I was walking out the door to go to work, UPS pulls up with my MagicBands. So far I'm pretty impressed.
I've noted that other people have had issues with AP holders having to have the MagicBand plus the old RFID card plus ID. To me that is not a problem, I always have ID anyway, and when I do Disney (quite often) I just swap out my SAMs card for my pass.
Now I just have to patiently (ha!) wait 15 days till I can get my eat on!
