Hi! Just booked for August 19, 2006! We need connecting rooms and were assigned 2094/2096. I just noticed they are across from the laundry. Should we move? Even with a family of six I have never done laundry on vacation. So my issue is more with noise and traffic. TA said the rooms were good location. He forgot to mention the laundry room though. Any advise is appreciated.

We had friends in this cabin last year ~ the laundry room is extremely hot ~ like a sauna! They said the noise didn't bother them as much as the heat....just something to consider

i had 2071 and 2073 last year and loved the location if you are looking for alternatives.

We have those rooms on the 2/13/05 Disney Wonder. I have been doing some research on these boards and this is the first time anyone has mentioned the heat. Up until now, I wasn't too worried. Some people say it can get congested near the laundry and it's busier at dinner time - people ironing their clothes for dinner. However, I do NOT like idea of the heat. I am always warm, so this could be a problem.

I booked through Costco and I really want the connecting rooms. I guess I could call and ask if there are any other Category 9 connecting cabins available for this cruise.

When I searched, I put 2094 in the search forum and quite a few posts came up. You might want to try it.

We were 3 doors down from the laundry and actually liked it, picked our next room to be nearby again!! Never noticed any negativities associated with it and loved having the convenience for ironing clothes and throwing in a quick load of laundry whenever. Next time I'll even pack differently knowing how much easier it makes it. Just MHO.

Actually, I thought it could be convenient being right near the laundry. I will know when the iron is free!!!

I don't want to sacrifice the connecting rooms to move away from the laundry.

I just got off the Wonder two days ago and was directly across from the laundry room at 7590 and 7588. I would not do it again. It was noisy. The majority of the noise was from people talking to each other in rather loud voices but the dryers were a problem too. I was only on a three night and it was loud, can't imagine a seven night. There were actually mom's who took their three or four kids into the room in their diapers and tights and had them line up while they ironed their dresses. Then they changed in the hall. I am not kidding. Just my observations. One mom that I saw do this was not loud at all (and her kids were adorable) but she blocked the hall with her crowd of kids! I did not notice the heat. One pleasant thing was the smell in the hall that was like a basket full of clean laundry.

On our last cruise, DH had to do some laundry on Thursday night. Since we're night owls, he waited til about midnight before checking it. Well, guess others had the same idea, because all the machines were full and people were waiting. He ended up having to use machines on another floor. Two loads of laundry were done by 2:45 am.

Afterwards he said NEVER book across from the laundry room. Too much foot traffic, even late at night.

On another note, he also caught two young women making out in one of the laundry rooms. Long awkward moment of silence, he smiled and said he'd come back in about 10 minutes. When he came back, they were just braiding their hair as if nothing happened. :)

Thank you to everyone! Your replies were extremely helpful! I will be calling to change the room. Good thing we are planning to early.

PoohJen I'll have to follow your link. Thanks for posting it.
