Just booked 16 days next summer....call me crazy

......we just booked our longest trip ever. What the heck right? It's snowing here today so I wish the trip would hurry up and get here..... lol...

We split it between VWL (the country house) and BCV (the beach house)...... I try not to live in a fantasy land all the time...lol. But the way things are going the Fantasy land is a much better place to be these days.

LOL sounds like a plan! We'll be at our happy place around the same time too. Booked 2 weeks at SSR end of June, first week of July for 2 weeks but I'm gonna try to switch the second week for another location whichever is available when our 7 month booking window opens. It will be a DS and mom trip while the teenagers are at camp in Colorado and DH slaves away at work

Warning! I have been doing 16/17 day trips for several years. Once you start you only want to keep making it longer. My goal is 3 weeks this coming July & eventually get to the point we can stay most of the summer.

Wow - that's great. Once I get my 5 weeks (2010) I'll book an extended Disney spli stay. Maybe WLV and AKV - that sounds great. Thanks for the inspiration and enjoy your trip.

We stayed 16 nights in August this year. It was glorious!

It involved WAY too much bouncing around because we bought our DVC in May and converted some of our nights to points so it ended up rather choppy. While we weren't fans of the split stay we loved being at WDW for more than 2 weeks!

Next year DH refuses to take his vacation in a block, but for 2010 he will get 3 weeks so I am planning for him to take a block of 2 weeks in the summer. My schedule is more flexible than his, but I sort of lucked into having 2 consecutive weeks this year.

We are staying at VWL for 9 days in January - this will be our longest WDW vacation yet and we can't WAIT!!!!

I would love to be Home for 16 days. What an amazing concept. We are about to leave (9 days) on a week long Caribbean cruise then going from the dock to OKW for a second week. This will be the longest straight vacation I have ever taken in my entire life and I'm really looking forward to it. Not sure I could go 2+ weeks listening to It's a Small World each day but it would be fin to try.

So crazy? Yeah! Probably... but no more than any of us green, jealous monsters that can't be there with you for the 16 days.

We are going for 7 days in March and 10 days in October. I would love to spend 16 straight days at the world! I will need to work on that

Hi fellow crazy person! I replaced our usual 14 night DVC summer stay with a 21 night vacation 14 nights DVC and 7 nights Western DCL.

We will be there this summer also. At OKW for 14 days and off site for 3 more!! It is chilly here............no snow yet and I am hurrying the winter away. (although I am sneaking off to Hawaii next week for 4 days for my DD to check out a college...........OH, poor me!! LOL!)

We've got eight of our nine nights at BCV for early summer booked so far. Plus four nights at Marco Island.

If we stayed at OKW instead of BCV, we could probably get another two nights out of it, but I don't think my boss would be too happy with me being gone for nearly three weeks.

We did 14 nights this past July and LOVED IT. We did a split...staying 8 nights at OKW and 6 at BCV. We loved BCV. We are hoping to stay there again next July. We will be doing a big split this time. We are going to AKV for 3 nights, then 3 nights to Universal and then hopefully 6 nights at BCV.
