BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! I totally agree with you UKAngel. I can't STAND her! How many talented British actresses are there, and they had to get a Texan with a face that looks like a cat's hiney.
I saw the movie this past weekend. I thought the first movie was better, and I liked "Edge of Reason" the book better than the movie, but I still had a good time. The fight scene is wonderfully silly!
Can anyone tell me: in the "Sound of Music" fantasy scene, where exactly are Bridget and Mark? They're on some hill that overlooks London ... is it a real place, or was it just a studio set?
[Speaking of casting an American to play a Brit, there's a new show on here called "House," in which Hugh Laurie (whom I love!) is playing a cranky American doctor. Why they went to the trouble of hiring Hugh and then making him use a rather crap American accent is beyond me. I mean, there are British doctors over here; why couldn't he just have been British? PLUS, there's another doctor on the show who is Australian. Why can we accept an Aussie doctor but not a Brit-doc? I just don't understand Hollywood.]
Perhaps you mean 'Hollywood" in a generic, state-of-mind way rather than geographical. I think the tv program you're talking about is a British product, not an American one.
I mangaed to read the book while I was on holiday and now I am looking forward to seeing it on the big screen...I am decorating the house at the moment so I dont know when I will get there
