I've just taken a few extended absences, so my post count isn't what it could be.

I know the feeling Meredith. I've taken a few myself. Although mine are usually just days up to a week or so. But I take them frequently when writing a TR. I get burned out.

OK, bad, bad, bad idea. I have to get ready for work and I'm sitting here catching up on this thread. Now I'm behind and have to leave soon, and I'm still here reading it!

Sigh. I missed the fun while I was passed out early.

I am starting the series again!! I haven't read them in years so I started book #1 today! Where in Australia are you visiting?

We'll be in Tassie for three weeks, Melbourne for a week and Sydney for a week. Usually I try to take Hubby somewhere he hasn't been before, but not this trip. We'll be in Sydney for Australia Day.

Ugh. It's hard to answer that question. I was working an average of 30/week but this time of the year our hours get cut drastically because of the workload. So I've been working literally 2 days a week for the past month. Today was an extra 4 hour shift that I was able to pick up from my boss.

About siblings - I have one younger brother, he's 3 years younger than me. We are not alike at all! We fought as kids, now we're not close. I'm the more social one, he's basically a hermit I also don't like how he (in his mid-30s) has NO job, no interest in getting a job, and mooches off my parents. SIGH. I wish I had a close sibling

I got the checkbook from Checks Unlimited: http://www.checksunlimited.com/productdetail.aspx?vpid=468 They've got a couple other ones that I saw and almost bought, but that's the one that I picked.

Now I want new checks. I'm debating between these two:

I think I'm leaning towards option #1.

No unfortunately not. But, it does have Maleficent(my favorite), Si and Am, the Cheshire Cat, Cruella.

I have poor unfortunate souls as my text message ringer, I change it between that Small World, and the Main Street Train message.

Sweet villan checks with Maleficent, she's my favorite too! DD10 was Maleficent a couple years back for Halloween, it was pretty neat.

Ariel is a good choice. When I get my sexy back, I'm going to dress up as Jessica Rabbit. My hair is naturally light brown but have died it red before and it looked like my natural hair color.

I just want the mail to get here so I know whether or not I can go shop....lol I got 2 packages yesterday from Disney movie rewards, I got a Cheshire Cat hat & a Jack Skellington beanie, I'm giving them to the girls for Christmas gifts!! YAY for FREE Christmas gifts!!! I've got some points left so I might go see what else I can get from them. It's pretty awesome to get freebies. Gosh, my life is boring today.......lol I'll work on some more jewelry today, I worked on a piece all of yesterday, getting it set up, strung and tied off (I was using stretchy cord) and after I got it strung and tied I put it on and the string snapped!!! I was not happy....so I put it away and decided to work on it later. LOL Hmmmm, yup, boring day today....

I've got to get off my butt and get to the gym. I didn't go yesturday and didn't use my resitance bands at home, but I did go for a walk with the kids and hubby. If I vegg-out too much longer, I'll start eating a bunch of crap.

It's complicated, and in previous years, yeah, I got more hours this time of the year. But they switched our system up in the past year to streamline it all and what used to take me all week to do now only takes me one shift to complete so all of those hours went down the drain. Even with the ads getting bigger and bigger sales, it just takes less time. The other half of my job is ticketing clearance, and that stuff grinds to a stand still almost during the holidays because we're so full of product for our Holiday sales and less moving of stuff out.

If that made any sense

I'm kind of hoping this schedule lasts a little longer so I don't have to stress about getting to DLR in December. But it will be nice when our workloads pick back up again.

Kind of a comment back to you and Kerri. I absolutely adore DMR. So far I've only 'cashed in' my points for one item (the Winnie the Pooh Jim Shore figure). I'm hoarding my points for now and it's up there. I had been saving for a Snow White something that was thousands of points but of course it was gone just weeks before I got enough. Go figure. I still have a couple of Blu Ray codes to add and I need to redeem my tickets for Secretariat before I forget.

No, it's a point system. You buy movies or see them at the movies and get points. Use the points to "buy" stuff. You get points for all (that I've seen) disney movies. That includes Pirates, National Treasure, and of course the kid movies. They also give out awesome coupons. They had a $10 off Toy Story 3 blue ray combo pack and more recently $10 A Christmas Carol blue ray combo pack. I can't wait to see if they'er going to do one for Fantasia.

It's supposed to be another $10 coupon for Fantasia from what I read in something they sent me. TS3 was actually an $8 coupon and then Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 will be the normal $10.

LOL If you don't want them send them my way, I will use them for sure!! I love DMR and yes, it really is free rewards, the 2 things I got were free, no charges for shipping. The rewards vary and they will go away so go see what they have and what you want.

I forgot about the sibling discussion earlier, I'm the second of 5. My older sister is my half sister (same Mom), then me, then my brother, my sister and then my step-sister. So there are 5 of us. Makes for fun holidays. LOL
