I've had it like that since the day I joined :D Even if California has no mullets..... XD

My Mom had one some years ago. If I can dig up the picture, I'll post it

Childhood education ;) I started a while back but I've been dealing with some massive anxiety issues for a long time that kind of forced me out of school and then I just went through a very indecisive period. Well, I'm just now starting to come out of that.

In reality though, I want to move to SoCal and work at Disneyland :rotfl: No joke.

OMG!! Me too. Originally I wanted to dance for Disney. Now I'm going back to school for my engineering degree. I'ld love to be an Imaginear. The bummer part is when I went to school for my electrical certification I didn't need general ed. For a degree I do, so now I have to take 4 calculous classes, chemistry, 2 physics, and of couse History, English, and all that other bs.

I dunno ... My mm tried giving me one when I was in Kindergarten.

Think of all the people.....happy people.

The way I see it, I've survived 6+ years in retail and have been put through the wringer and still love where I'm at. And we don't get people in our store who are a fraction of the 'happy' that people like me are at DLR.

Yup, yup.

Argh you have some hard classes.

My thought of working there is that you must see many more happy people there than you do almost any where else.

Ooh. I don't envy you. I still have yet to decide if I'm going for any degree or just certification right now. But I do have a lot of my general ed classes done. But they'll always be there if I decide to go back. Then again, at this point, why not. I think all I have left is a chemistry class (well, some science something or other) and ... I don't even remember.

I really need to make an appointment with a counselor to talk about what I have finished because it's been an on and off thing for the past 6 years since I graduated HS.

I go to Weaverville all the time. Every once in a while I'll make a journey to Junction City

That part of the state is the prettiest.

Yes, I think that would be a great idea!!

Good idea. Ask your self "If I could be anything, what would it be" don't apply logic. Don't think about money. If you go to school to be something just for the money, you'll hate your job. Do something that you really like (and are capable of) or something you already do as a hobby, or something you already have an apptitude for. You'll be more likley to finish school if you have a goal.

Well ladies, I have to be a mom and go fix dinner. I'll catch up with all later.

Yeah!! I got here before it is 37 pages!! Of course by the time I wake up again it will probably be there!!

I'm on facebook too! I'm Paula Mulder in San Jose! I'd love more fb friends!

I agree with picking a degree you really like. I did business first and it was so not me. Then I did nursing and I love it!

Ugh. You guuuuys. I go and take a nap(probably when this thread was started) and I wake up to find 7 pages of chatting?!? Not fair. I didn't have to do so much catch-up last time!

And yes, I said I was napping. If anyone saw the old chatting, yes I napped yesterday too. As well as went to bed at 10:30. I really don't feel sick but my entire body and brain are so exhausted. Yuck.

I tried photograpy and digital media as well, but the problem there is I have to take art. I have tried taking it over, and over, and over, but I just couldn't. I'm finally ready to go back to childhood education. If I don't end up working at DLR, working with kids has always made me happier than anything else.

Awww. We had a lot to discuss, it seems. From why we like Australian accents (and they seem to like ours -- at least in Tink's case) to our need for new smilies, to ... school. Blech.

Sorry you're feeling so blah. I can definitely relate and its been going on for a while for me.Do you think today has something to do with DST? I feel like it should be later than it is and I should be in bed already!
