Just returned home last eve. We had a wonderful trip. Any questions? I would be glad to reply. :flower:

We are doing one EMH evening, at MGM. Did you try one there? I know the MK evening EMH has been brutal, but I'm hoping the MGM one won't be as bad.

Glad you had fun - don't be bummed out now that you're home. Start planning that next trip!

I'm very concerned about the heat since I leave in less than 2 weeks. Any tips on places in the parks to duck out of it for a while and cool off in some air conditioning?

Please forgive my taking so long to reply. It is hard getting back to our routine!!

I cannot compare the crowds this year to any other August because we have never been in August before. However, they were not as bad as we were fearing. We used fastpass for all the headliners and did get to the parks at opening or within the first hour. Soarin' had 70 min. waits but we rode it 3 times (over the trip) using fastpasses.

We never went to eve. EMH. Our strategy was to hit the parks early. We did do the eve. fireworks/shows about every other eve. but we left after that.

I was always able to find a cool spot to sit in every park EXCEPT for at 1/2 of MGM. Along the main street between the great movie ride and TofT I had trouble finding a good rest spot. There are gift shops in that area but their doors were open and the AC was not as cold - also, there was no real seating. The hottest we were the entire 10 days was waiting for the motor show. The que is not covered and the arena is only partially shaded. It was MISERABLE waiting! I'm afraid it spoiled the show for me. That was the only time I was really uncomfortable.

We would go again in August in a moment. If you are about to leave you will have a wonderful time..........take me with you!!! ;)

Welcome home, doodle!
Tell us about the food!! Please.

11 days and we're off to DISNEY!! :moped: :moped: :moped:

Wow jrjac, where do I begin???? We had SO much good food. We all agreed that our favorite sit down meals were Ohana and Boma (both dinner) for the food and Chef Mickey's for the "experience". Biergarten and Chefs de France were good - but not spectacular. WCC was the most fun we've ever had there (4th visit) and 50sPT was fun but not as much fun as previous visits.

Counter Service favorites included....

Figaro fries
Dole Whips
Tusker House at AK
Pecos Bill's
a great Chicken wrap at Seasons near Soarin at Epcot
Main Street Bake Shop - ANYThing there is so good!
Mickey Bars
Candied/Roasted pecans in Epcot

There were many more places we wanted to eat but we only had 10 days!!! You will have a wonderful time!! Enjoy!!!
