We were at WDW from June 12-18 and it was great thanks to all the great tips I picked up here on the boards.
-The crowds we no where near as bad as I feared. I think the longest wait time was 30 minutes and that was to get into the Living Seas
-The weather was great. The only rain we encountered was on the 12th thanks to the tropical storm.
-All the CMs we dealt with were very helpful and friendly.
-We never had a stroller incident.
-We only encountered a handful of rude people and the only reason they stand out is because there were so few of them and most of them were at our hotel.
-We walked into Fantasmic as they were announcing it was standing room only. A CM told us we could try to go down and find seats when a woman in the stands waves us over and there was room for all 5 of us. :flower:
-Fastpasses are awesome! We had to wonder why anyone would do standby for the big rides after that
- DD7 & DD4 loved the pirate cruise
-DS2 and I got to ride in the front of the monorail while the girls looted. What an amazing view!
-Thanks for talking about the barber shop. DS2 got his hair cut on Friday afternoon and we were the only ones there. I was expecting at least some kind of wait but we walked right in. Great haircut too!
- DD7 was the kid that never rode a coaster but wanted to do RNR. She ended up doing all the other coasters first (except the Goofy's Barnstormer) and she did absolutely love RNR. The only ride she had problems with was primevil whirl. DH took her on it and she got thrown around and had a knot on her head :( but she thought it was fun up to that point.
-DD4 who normally is my daredevil hated TOT and Dinosaur but loved Space Mt. Her favorite ride was as she called it "the happy ride. You know the one with all the singing dolls" :rotfl2: Yeah I'm sure we all know that would be IASW
-I am a chicken but DD7 talked me into TOT and it was my favorite ride until I did RNR :teeth: Can it get any better than those two?
-DS2 was on a mission with the autograph book. He really got into that. Turns out his favorite character of the trip was the Green Army Man. He followed him around trying to get his attention but he went on break so I had to ask if he'd be back out. When all the other characters came out, he wasn't one of them so one of the handlers went back and brought him out right to DS. He thought that was great:)
-All 3 kids had a blast doing kidcot at World Showcase. The girls also did the passport and really enjoyed it.
-All 3 kids got into the whole pin trading thing. I had bought them 20 pins off e-bay and we didn't come home with a single original one.
-Photopass is a cool idea. It would be better if I had a cooperative DH. I don't have one picture of the 5 of us and come to think of it, my 3 kids aren't in any one of those pictures either. Plus I think they lost some of our pictures because the ones they took with Buzz, Woody and Jessie aren't on my card. :confused3 But hey, I've got pictures of me and my two youngest with Tink and Stitch.
-The new car stunt show (sorry it's late and I'm drawing a blank on the name  ) was incredible. Thanks for the tip on getting a FP for it. We had great seats because of it. DS2 was really into it and it made my day just watching him get excited over it. :goodvibes
-I think the only ride we really wanted to do but didn't was Soarin' We had FPs but for some reason we didn't get a chance to get back over there and use them :(

My biggest disapointment was AK and the only reason I say that is there just wasn't enough time for us to really get into that park. I think I relied a little too much on all the comments of it being a 1/2 day park and I figured since it closed earlier than the other parks it wouldn't be a problem. Boy was I wrong :(The day we were there we had done the Sunrise Safari and we had a sitter lined up that evening. So we had to be back at the hotel by 5 pm. We did do Dinosaur and the Safari and Kali (DS2 loved that!) but we spent a lot of time in dino-land. We actually liked the carnival feel. Everyone won a prize. We saw Lucky. But we never saw any shows, never walked any trials, never made it to the tree of life :sad2: The one thing I really wanted to see. I guess it's just another reason to go back...and we're already talking about that :)

Sounds like you had a great trip. Too bad you didn't get to do all you wanted. I don't know why people say AK is just a half a day park either. There's so much to see there. Like you said, now you have a reason to return. :)

Sometimes it is hard to pack in everything you want to do in just one trip...that is just more reason to start planning your next trip! I enjoyed reading about your trip, thank you for sharing! :flower:

So pleased you had a great time. i am going on my first trip to WDW tomorrow and am so excited, but the only thing putting me off is the weather, the weather websites say its really bad with loads of storms. Was the weather really nice when you were there?

Welcome back! Sounds like you had a great trip! :goodvibes

Sounds like you still got to see alot....and with 3 kids that's great!

Hopefully you'll get to try all the stuff you missed NEXT TIME!

Time to start planning!

Great report. Sounds like you and the family had a wonderful time. Thanks for sharing! :flower:

ITA about AK. Great reason for you to plan that next trip!
Thanks for the report.

Sounds like you had a great time. We leave Saturday and I have a question in re to the pictures. You mention about having a picture with Tink and Stitch. Now I know I have seen Stitch before but never Tink. Was she out and where did you see her? Thanks. :)

We just got back from a 8-18th trip and as far as the weather is concerned I think you just have to assume there will be some rain. The first few days tropical storm Arlene went through and there was rain in both the late morning and late afternoon.

After that, most of the rain was in the late afternoon. Take umbrellas or ponchos, and when the rain starts just keep going. The good news is it usually gets cooler after rain, and the crowds are less after a rain too.

It will be hot! even when raining, so drink lots of water and take a break in the heat of the afternoon

Loved your report. Glad you all had such a good trip.

I hate you did not get to do everything in AK. We love the AK. The tree of life is incredible. We also enjoyed the trails. My Sister fell in love with a Gorilla there. We took picutures of the Gorilla and printed it out for her. It says I love you on the picture. It was hilarious. Also, The men that come out in front of Tusker House and do their little show are awesome. I could watch them all day.

Like everyone else said it gives you a reason to go back. :Pinkbounc

Guess I should clarify that :) Some of the PhotoPass photographers on Main Street can pose you and super impose Tink into your hand. It really ticked DD7 off since she loves Tink but she wouldn't come with me for pictures so she's in my DD4 and DS2 hands :teeth: Same with the Stich. They did that at Studios. We got to hold a hat and when the pictures come out, Stitch is in the hat. I've heard they used to (still do?) Simba over at AK.

Oh and I did get to see Tink fly for Wishes. She was right over my head. Very cool!

When we were there, we ran into Arlene on the drive in. That was nasty. Accidents all over I-4. :guilty: It rained Sunday evening. The rest of the days we were there we were very lucky. Our Epcot day it rained for maybe 5-10 minutes but it was a warm gentle rain so we never bothered with ponchos or anything. We just used one to cover the stroller. When we were at MK it was very sunny but managed to sprinkle for about 2 minutes. The rest of the days were in the 80-90* range and breezy that's very comfortable to me.

It said on the weather that Sat, when we got there (june 11) would rain up to 2-3 inches. Well we got there at 11am no rain, but sunny, started to rain about 5pm(as we were leaving the pool anyway) then stopped by 6:30 when we went to Chef Mickey's. Fine the rest of the night. On Sunday got about 2 hrs of rain, but we were eating through most of it and then it stopped in time for Fantasmic. Otherwise lt rain showers as it always is for the rest of our trip but only need the ponchos on Tues night for a short time and then great weather. I will give a better report on our trip later...it was fun in the sun at YC and HRH!!!!

Another AK fan here!! We were there Monday (June 13th) morning and then did the EMH Tuesday evening! We could have spent another whole day there!! I was so disappointed that my friend did not get to see Festival of the Lion King (one of my top two things to do at WDW!).

So nice to read your positive post! My favorite trips to WDW were when my girls were 3. You just want to memorize their expressions forever. IMO, you miss out when you don't get to see those exciting faces. Impsmom, do plan another trip soon. My girls are 9 and 12 and it's changed so much now. Characters don't interact as much and the magic, while still there, has changed. Enjoy them young!!!
