We just got back late Saturday night! We had so much fun!!
WL was wonderful as always.
Crowds were high, but hey we were in Disney World, we could deal with crowds.
The weather was good. We only had one night that had a really bad storm. We felt bad for the kids who were crying because they were scared of the insanly loud thunder & lightening. We had a ton of glow sticks with us so we started handing them out to kids who were crying. Kids stopped crying & parents seemed thankful.
When leaving the MK the night it was storming we had a big of a problem leaving. Some guy was trying to leave with his rented MK double stroller. The CMs would not let him leave the park with the stroller. He was getting very loud & animated. The CMs would not let anyone else with a stroller out through the gate because this guy was in the way. And there were very few other CMs opening the gates for strollers & they were really spread out. We had to get a little pushy with the CMs to open another gate. I could not understand why another one of the 6 CMs who was arguing with the guy could not go and open another gate for those of us with strollers. I mean my DS was getting wet because this guy was trying to get a rented stroller out of the park & all the CMs were converging on him. I had to loudly explain to one of the other CMs that they could let the rest of us out rather then make us stand there while our kids got wet & possible sick in the strollers we had brought from home. All the other parents around me gave the CM a loud & resounding "Yeah open the gates for those of us not trying to steal a stroller! We are cold & wet to!" Then it kind of clicked that the CMs could let US out & they did. It was a bit silly & we had to laugh about it when we were at the boat dock.
The new Playhouse Disney show is cute. We like Jo Jo, but we sure miss the Olie part. DS loved it though. He was dancing & laughing & clapping along.
I was very thankful we made our PSs for dinner & the FDP! The lines for food were crazy.
The Castle looks lovely all decked out for the celebration.
EMHs at night were really great. We did the EMHs in the MK & Epcot. We walked onto everything we wanted to & had such a great time. Getting the bracelets were easy & the crowds were pretty low. I was expecting an issue since I had seen some bad reports. But we really loved EMHs.
We were going to do EMHs in AK, but did not see a point. The shows stopped running at 6:30pm, last safari was at 7:00pm, but the park was open until 9:00pm? We decided to go to the MK instead which was open until 10:00pm that night.
***Warning small spoilers about Family Magic Tour ahead***
We did the Family Magic Tour for the first time. We had such a great time! The tour guide was wonderful! She really got everyone into it! We especailly liked "sneaking" through Tomorrowland & the follow the leader game.
Peter Pan & Wendy were amazing! They got everyone excited One of the kids in our party hates Philharmagic which was the special surprise at the end (Peter Pan & Wendy take everyone to the show were we were seated right up front with Peter Pan!). Well Wendy took the kid out of the show with his Dad & they got to ride the Peter Pan ride WITH Wendy. It was so cool walking through Fantasyland with Peter Pan & Wendy. The kids thought it was great! All of Fantasyland is looking & asking "Hey how come they get to hang out with Peter Pan & Wendy?".
All in all it was a great trip. We can't wait to go back in November!
