I live in South Louisiana, and I have to wear a jacket if it gets into the 60's, so you're right, we probably have a different idea of "good" weather. But that being said, the weather this weekend was better than I had expected. The afternoons were hot, but not unbearably so (mid to high 80's). The mornings were pleasant and the evenings were wonderfully cool (mid to high 60's). There was also a nice breeze most of the weekend. You will never go to Fla. and find low humidity, so if that's a problem for you, you may be uncomfortable. Remember to stay hydrated, and take advantage of indoor attractions or go to a pool in the afternoons. Wear light weight, light colored clothes that dry quickly and wick moisture away from the body. (Sweat doesn't evaporate as well in high humidity) Also, try to avoid attractions where the line are mostly outside. Use fastpass when possible.
We didn't get afternoon thunderstorms until the day we left. These storms lower the temperature temporarily but raise the humidity. The farther you get into the summer weather pattern, the more regular the storms become. But the good news is that they don't last long. Hope this helps and have a wonderful trip.
