just back from our 2nd family trip to WDW.
it started a little eventfully as DD (9) caught the winter vomiting bug the night before we were due to fly
and was very sick. On advice from NHS 24 and virgin we went to the airport for check in and asked about flying the next day instead. virgin couldn't have been more helpful. They kept us on standby for that flight to see if she had recovered by the gate then rebooked us on the next days flight when she was still poorly. so after a night in a Glasgow airport hotel we were off next morning on a much quieter flight for our now 13 day break !
Unfortunately I caught the bug and was very sick on the plane out but recovered quickly.
Our first park day at I of A on Easter Monday was busy during the day. We had a lovely lunch in Mythos then went back to the hotel and returned in the evening and rode the Forbbiden journey with a 45 minute queue instead of the 120 earlier in the day.
After that the parks seemed to get much quieter. We made our first trip to Busch Gardens and DH walked on most of the big roller coasters whilst DD and I enjoyed all the animals.
Evening visits to Seaworld , HS , I of A gave us more walk one even the Harry Potter rides
we saw the electrical parade for the first time and rode both Space and Splash mountain for the first time with DD. She wasn't sure about Space mountain last time and Splash mountain was closed on our last visit.
We also visited Aquatica for the first time. it's a very pretty park
and DD loved the Lazy rivers
Our biggest improvement was the fantastic weather . last time we went in Jan 2010 it was freezing most days . this time it was mega hot !!
Already hoping to convince DH for an onsite vist for Oct 2013 with free dining
