2 Trips to Universal and am still a WDW Fan.

Harry Potter Advice

Arrived on Sunday and walked over to IOA from RPR around 3pm. 30 minute wait for ride. Walked on both coaster rides.

Monday went to Harry Potter early entry at 8am. Walked on ride and straight into Olivanders. Ate breakfast at 3 Broomsticks and was finished when the crowds arrived at 9am-9:30am. Finished IOA by noon.

Tuesday went to Studios and was finshed by noon. Went back to IOA for water rides.

Wed. morning back to Harry Potter for pictures and shopping before heading to WDW.

Castle (outside awesome), Ride great, Butterbeer (frozen) good, Best show is the hidden magic inside 3 Broomsticks. Shadows of Elves, Owls and Boomsticks.

Do you need to book the Harry Potter Package to eat at the three broomsticks or can anyone walk up and sit down for breakfast?

You can only just walk up and eat if there are very few reservations from package-holders on that day. You can try booking at the onsite hotels...some people have reported success with that.
