I would not judge because our friend who went with us is 23 yrs old and she just had knee surgery and had to use one(she just could not do all the walking) so even if you think someone may not need it you have no idea what the problem is.I think if someone just does not want to walk they are not going to pay 45.00 a day for it plus those things dont get you very far very fast and are hard to get around in crowds...
god help us if she ever really needs one.....
Yep same old same old - Theme Park Board does this topic every other day, it seems! If this doesn't get locked quickly, we will have post after post of everyone's parent/mother-in-law/brother/cousin/friend/hairdresser who could never enjoy Disney if it wasn't for their ECVs. And how dare we judge who can use one or not ....![]()

But sadly ECVs are too linked to super-sensitive topic of obesity, and that's what kills every one of these threads. I wish we could have a discussion about the increasing number of ECVs and how the parks could handle it better, but will never happen. And it is a very timely topic, since the parks will only see more and more people wanting and demanding ECVs. Thats the future of Disney!
Oh well!

I also know that for people that have small problems getting around it is better to rent a ECV then to have someone push them because there are lots of hills in the parks..I was there last week and did not notice a huge amount of people using them, now I did see a few teens (that after being told that they would have to go through the lines in the push chairs) get up and push the chairs to the side and sprint to the line...but hey they still waited and its not really my buisness....and I wouldnt have noticed if they hadnt made such a fuss..

Could someone please pass me a nice hot toddy while I watch the upcoming wreck?
). MIL is also obese, and was very slow the whole time - I can't tell you how many times we had to stop and wait for the lot of them - DH walks fast, and no matter what you say to him, he "can't" slow down. And lastly, we have FIL who was a trooper, but has had 2 knee replacements, and really should have rented one just to save his knees a bit.
