I just spent 9 nights (5/30 - 6/10) solo at FW and loved it. Even though I'll be moving to Florida soon, I can't wait to spend more time at the Fort. Everything was wonderful. I was in site 2041 which was perfect for me. When they told me where I would be I thought I would hate it, but almost instantly I fell in love with the area.

Glad you had a great time. I envy your move to Fl and being so close to the Fort. How was the weather?

To me, the weather was actually pretty spectacular. A family a couple of sites down from me had an extra box fan that they let me borrow so my tent was very cool at night. Most days I spent at the parks from opening until closing, so I probably didn't notice the heat as much as if I had spent alot of time lounging around the fort. I did spend a couple of hours laying out by one of the pools and it was pretty toasty then, but that was mid afternoon. Only rained for a little while a couple of days.

Sounds great!

What did you like about site 2041? I am trying to decide which loop I would like better for tent/GMC Safari Van camping. :)
