Day 5 begins early. At ASMovies, the buses are supposed to start running at 7am to go to MK. We are out there by 7:15 and wait for about 15 minutes. No bus. We decide we can't wait anylonger so I run over to the parking lot and get the car. Stop by the bus stop and pick up DW and DD. Get to TTC at about 7:50am. Show our resort id and conf # to hop on the monorail to MK. Check in with the guards and show conf# again. We are let in at about 8:05. Head on up to the castle. We get there right at 8:20. Check in with the cm and she tells us that part of our party decided to go ahead and be seated. There are to be 8 of us total. 3 different families sharing a ressie from a very generous DIS'er. (Thanks again Chris). Tell her that the other 3 in our party are not here yet but they go ahead and seat the 3 of us. Walked into the main ground floor room of the castle and had it all to ourselves. Then in walks the Fairy Godmother. After pictures and autographs we head upstairs. What a room! This was the first time we had been in the castle to eat. We are seated and out comes the food. What wonderful french toast! DW wants the recipe. So if anyone knows it..... DW was dressed as Cinderella and couldn't wait to meet the princesses. First Aladdin, then Jasmine, Snow White, Aurora and then Cinderella. We were there for about an hour and a half. While we were sitting there, the other 3 DIS'ers walked in. Had never met them before but took a shot and asked if they were them. Does that make any sense to anyone? Sure enough it was. Had a nice little chat before they were seated by the windows. Finished eating and headed out to tour the kingdom. First was Aladdin, then we hit the Jungle Cruise. Great CM on this wonderful Sunday morning. He was a nut! After exiting the JC, DW asked if I had the camera bag. NO. I had the video camera bag not the 35mm bag. The last place we knew we had it was in the castle. So we trudge back over there to check. Luckily, they had it. Of course, it only had blank film in it, so it would not have been a total loss. But we all know how expensive 8 rolls of 36 exp film is at MK. After retrieving the bag, we decided to do Peter Pan then Small World. The SW sign said the wait time was 1 minute. Why bother with the sign!;) No wait for Peter Pan or SW. Then we headed over to Snow White and Pooh. Jumped right on SW but Pooh had a 30 minute wait. Got FP for it, and headed to the HM. Walked right in. Left there and went to the Hall of Pres. Walked right in there also. Left there and went ot POTC. Walked right on it too. I think you can sense the trend here. Attendance was very low for Sunday. Since this was a MNSSHP night we thought that might be why. Left POTC and returned to Pooh to ride it. Jumped right in with FP. By this time we decided to take a break and head back to the ASMovies for a short break and for DD to put on her costume for MNSSHP. She went as Lady Liberty. Returned to the park around 4:30. Had 5:30 res for Crystal Palace dinner so we didn't have to leave the park. My only complaint is that we didn't get to keep the cards they mailed out as tickets for the MNSSHP. They would have been great soveineers. Oh, well. Can't have everything I guess. Did the Alien Encounter again. That ride/show just really cracks me up. It is not scary or really intense. Just loud. but to hear all of the people screaming and jumping around in their seats is hilarious. Now time for dinner at CP. Left CP around 6:45. Got to the gates of adventure land just as they were opening. Headed straight for JC. What a blast at night. The CM was great on this one too. She really got the kids involved in it. Left there and went to POTC again. We just love this ride. Rode it twice and then headed to BTMRR. DD and I rode this one, as the DW's back just can't take it. After that it was time for the Headless Horseman to make his run through the kingdom. What a sight. I hope the pics turn out. Then we had to go over to the first aid station for band-aids. DW had a blister on her foot. Took care of that and headed over to tomorrow land for Buzz and Space mountain. DD loves both of them. We did SM 2 times in a row. The second time she got to sit in the front of the car. She is a little daredevil! After getting off of SM we decided to do the Speedway. We have never done this because it is really too plain a ride to waste time standing in line for. At Six Flags in Dallas, they have actual go-carts that you can race around a small oval. That is worth a wait. driving cars that can't move more than 3 feet left or right is just not fun. But since the wait was only 10 minute DD and I did it. She drove, I handled the gas. After finishing the speedway it was time to head over to the HM for a few trips. We did it twice. I think that is my DD's favorite ride. By then it was 11:30pm so we decided to call it a night. We caught the monorail over to GF to pick up our car (See day 4 for reason) and headed back to ASMovies.

Day 6 - Our last day in the parks.:( We got up, had breakfast in the room. Pancakes and French toast. Then drove to YBC to catch the boat over to MGM. DW wanted to stop at the S&D to check on some sunglasses. She had bought a pair last year and my DD broke them the week before we left. They were red plastic with the S&D logo on both ear pieces. So she wanted to get some more. No luck. A new company had taken over the store and did not carry the same merchandise. Headed back to the boat to go to MGM. After arriving at MGM and spending some time in the "Resale" store right inside the gate we headed over to the Great Movie ride. Then we headed to the Backlot Tour. By now it was getting close to lunch time so we decided to get some pretzels and beer, and some ice cream. Hey it is vacation you know!;) Then back to Epcot. We had promised DD that she could get all of the stamps on her mask from all of the countries so we spent most of the afternoon wandering around through the different countries looking for the KidCot stations. Some of them were no where close to where the map showed them to be! But we did manage to find them all. DD wanted to do the Mexico boat ride again, so we did that then headed over to TT. It had a 30 minute wait. Figured we would go ahead and do it since it was our last day. Stood in line 5 minutes when the CM's came out and said the ride is shut down. With no eta for restarting. This has to be the worst ride at WDW. It is so un-disney like. The thing is down more than it is up. It just really ticks me off. Can't you tell! Anyway, got some popcorn and headed back over to Ellen's again. Then left there and went to the Magic Ball as DD likes to call it. Rode that again and played around in the lobby afterwards for a little while. Left there and went to watch the lights in the ground outside innoventions. Those are so cool! It is so funny to watch people walk over them and start looking up like they are expecting them to be projected instead of being embedded in the concrete. Now it is time to head over to YBC for the grand Finale of our trip. I had piggy backed onto an illuminations cruise with a family from Michigan, but the DD and DW had no idea about it. After meeting the Birch's and one other family from NJ, we boarded the boat for our 1 hour tour. Headed out into the lagoon around the BW and then over to S&D and MGM. It had started to drizzle a little but had stopped by the time we headed back over to Epcot to view the Illuminations. What a great vantage point! And what a great way to end the trip. After getting back to YBC it was out to the car (now you see the method to my madness!) and back to the room. DW and I started organizing a little but were too pooped to do much. DD crashed after being back in the room for 5 minutes. DW and I hit the sack around midnight. Got up at 7:30 to finish packing and to load the car. Our flight to DFW through Houston (Continental) was at 12:10 so we got to MCO around 1030am and checked in. They are doing curbside check-in at both DFW and MCO so that made it easy. All we had to do at that point was get through the magnetometer's. Had our carry on searched. No big deal. Took about 10 minutes. The guard was very business like and pleasant. Of course we were too. Headed to the concourse with about 30 minutes to spare. Asked if lunch was served and was told no, so we headed to the little concession stand to get some sandwiches for the ride home. Boarded the plane and they served lunch. Go figure. Oh well. Slept all the way to Houston. Then had an hour flight from there to Dallas. Got home around 4:30.

All in all a wonderful time was had by all. For me 6 days is enough. The DW and DD want more time. I don't think I could handle it, though.

Very fun and busy last two days. I love the Illumination Cruise - what a way to end your trip. Thanks for posting!

I enjoyed your report. Thanks for posting.

Sounds like a great trip! (I have the same reaction on Alien Encounter, by the way)
