Monday 10-24-05
As we sleep, I had the radio on. For some reason DW does not like this.
It was raining. On the radio they were saying how things will be closed. They stated that US and IOA would be closed today (Monday 10-24-05), Disney would be closed, but yet Sea World would be open. Well I guess if there is going to be a hurricane with water, what better place to go then Sea World.
Hey there would be a park to go to. Where the animals and people could be as one.
We looked at the Weather Channel being concerned with my dad and step mom in Boynton Beach. Luckily their cell phones still worked. My dad just wanted to make sure we were ok and that our vacation would not be ruined. We let them know we just wanted to make sure they were ok. Here are some pics of that morning.

About 10:00 am I decided to lets go for it and drive to POR. We were only like 10 min away. We were hungry at this point and needed to eat. We went to the food court and you would have thought everyone evacuated to the food court from all over. It was packed. Now since we are not on the dining plan for today, we get our food and mugs. That cost 40.00+
After we ate we checked in. I asked if there was any king beds available. The CM stated there was, but because we did not pay for it, we would have to pay an extra 15.00 a day. I didn't like the answer and I asked the CM if there was anything she could do. She went to speak to someone. At this point DW was just like pay for it and I said no. I mean I have heard all these stories that if they have any upgrades available, they will not charge you for it. Come on Disney, help us out. She came back and said she had a king bed available and that we would not have to pay. She did let us know that it was a handicap room and I said fine. Now the only difference betwenn a regular king room and a handicap king room is the regular room has a tub and the handicap room has a stand in shower. No big deal. Now at this time we only have a room only ressie. I asked if we would have to come back and re-register. She said yes and to do that tomorrow some time. Also, we were told we would not have to change rooms. Woohoo.
After unpacking we decided to goto our room and unpack. The new card keys are pretty cool with the castle inprinted on them. Our room was in Alligator Bayou all the way in the back. No big deal we had a rental car. We unpack and still no Disney Dollars. 200.00 of them still missing. I was some how hoping that they would be in the luggage. Pac-Man had to sit on the bed.
Pac-Man playing with the remote.
Oh well. Now it started getting cool, and DW forgot her sweat shirt at home. So off to Wal-Mart we went. They do have a cool selection of Disney merchandise that you will really only find at that Wal-Mart. So we head back and decide to go resort hopping. When we were there in April of 04, we never did get a CBR pin. Keep in mind that the weather was supposed to pass by 1-2pm and that the announcement of MK and Epcot would be open later that day. I do remember that MK was open until midnight tonight to make up for the loss of time.
Pac-Man's first time to CBR.
We decided why not resort hop and we head to BoardWalk.
Pac-Man enjoying the sun.

It was windy, but this was still a cool resort.
Spoodles. Next time we will have to go when it's dark and more alive.
A sign pointing us to where we are staing at POR.

We decided to walk to go get our mugs refilled.

Well we needed to start getting ready as we had ADR's for Chef Mickey's. This was our first time doing Chef Mickey's for dinner.
Driving to the Contemp.
Hello Contemp at night.
Pac-Man riding the escalator to the 4th floor to Chef Mickey's.
We decided we had enough time to ride the monorail around before our ADR's.
Hello Monorail.
