Hello all. We have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at a 3 bedrrom condo at WH. Found it on homeaway.com and it's referred to as "Lil Loo's Getaway" or "Great Disney Vacation".
The Windsor Hills property was very nice. It's well-maintained, security at the gate, staff on-site for recreation or reception til 10pm. Staff all pleasant and helpful. It really is "minutes" to Disney. We did the Sherberth Rd shortcut one day and found the regular way was so fast, a shortcut is not necessary.
The condo itself was spotlessly clean upon arrival, far cleaner than most hotels we've stayed in. It had everything one could want: washer, dryer, dishwasher, etc. The owners had a few nice touches like hotel soaps and shampoos and lots of spare linens, plastic dinnerware and cups for the kids. They'd also recently painted the chidren's bedroom in a Nemo theme, which my son enjoyed. It had framed Disney pictures in the hallways, board games, booster seat and highchair, if needed. The only drawback to this unit is that it's on the front corner of a back building facing the parking lot, but I knew that when I rented it (I only mention it in case anyone here is interested).
Basically, after a week's stay, we're hooked on WH and will never stay in a hotel at Disney again! If anyone wants more particulars about this condo, feel free to PM me and I'll give you the link to the condo site or can email some pics.
