Wanted to post a quick just back post before getting into a full trip report!

We stayed at the Yacht Club (love love love!). Our flight got into MCO around noon, but we ended up waiting more than 30 minutes for DME, so didn't end up getting to YC until closer to 2PM (last stop after Caribbean Beach, Boardwalk, and Beach Club). Not a big deal though since we had changed our flight the night before to arrive in the morning rather than 8 at night, so we were just happy to get there while it was still daylight!

We didn't find the weather to be all that bad or horribly hot. In fact most mornings we wished we had brought warmer clothes to wear. We only had one horrible rain storm the whole trip, but it was in evening so after dinner we just made our way back to the hotel and made it an early night.

Food and wine was awesome, I wish we stayed longer so we could try more food!

Crowds seemed super low to us (except Epcot on the weekend), we have pictures around MK with no one around, it was so cool! We did venture over the Epcot on Saturday to grab a quick bite to eat at one of the booths, but once we got into the park and saw the crowds that plan turned into a big NOPE! We ended up back at the YC and ate at the Crew Cup Lounge.

MNSSHP was amazing, expensive but worth it. Definitely plan to go again!

Jellyrolls has been and will continue to be one of our favorite places in the world. We always make a point to go at least one night of the trip and have always had a blast!

Overall it was a great trip, the only thing I would change is the length, it was a too short!

we were at BC from 9/30 to 10/3 - yes agree DME took long time. I thought crowds were horrendous!

walked out of Epcot on Saturday - MK on 10/3 was unbearable - better on 10/5
Studios busy as well
I called it quits when the line was 30 minutes for a dole whip
Never again for me in October
Moving on to November

OP, glad you had a great trip! We LOVE the look and feel of the entire Yacht/Beach Club and Boardwalk area.

Epcot on a Saturday during F&W? MK on a Monday? You couldn't pick a worst time for either park regarding crowds so I'm not surprised you felt they were horrendous. FWIW, EP was a 7, and MK a 10 on the days you mention. Busier than I would expect for the first week in Oct.

Parks were crowded every day everywhere. I learned my lesson. Summer is still better than October
Don't get me wrong we had a good time but without fast passes it would of been a miserable time

They were high, on your MK day that was a 10, the other three parks were 7's. On your EP day that was a 7, HS and AK were 5-6's and I think MK was a 8.

The week before, the parks looked to have averaged a 4 or so. Not sure why the first week of Oct jumped so much. It will be interesting to sees if the rest of October see higher crowds. Typically not.

Glad you had a great trip. I need to get to Jellyrolls next time. I still haven't been.

every night I swear I was going and I fell flat... LOL
at 10 pm my feet hurt and I was tired
Next trip I am promising myself I am not going to do the parks so hard but rather enjoy the resort and amenities more. I think in hindsight this is the best

Glad to hear you enjoyed YC. It's on our radar for next trip. We were there 10/1-10/6 and it's probably our last October trip. Heat, rain, hurricane season. I did strategic park planning and still found crowds higher than years past. I've had so much better luck in March and April. Though I do love the fall decor and F&W, it was just not as easy as our spring trips on many levels.

Excited to try Jellyrolls next trip!

We were at the Beach Club from Oct 1st to 5th. The weather was hot and humid. F&W was crowded on Saturday and Sunday, but not bad the other times we were there. We avoided MK on Monday because we knew it would be crowded because of the Halloween parties on other nights. Also, Saturday night was a rain out and if people wanted to see MSEP then Monday was their next chance. Wednesday at HS had low crowds. People were getting out of town early and other people were at MK.

I don't think we will go to Disney in early October again. It was too hot.

totally totally agree.. crazy but went with kids in october many years ago and was not that hot... November looking good to me next time

Always wanted to try YC or BC. the entire resort looks amazing, and SAB looks like so much fun.

We were there the exact days. F&W on Friday @ 11:00 was awesome! Didn't have to wait in any lines. Went to EP Sat @ 4:00 dinner reservation and couldn't believe the People & the lines!! I was glad we went Friday and were ahead of the crowds. We ended up going to MK on Sat night after the storm around 9:30 because I wanted to see the msep. We walked in right as the fireworks started. It was awesome and not to crowded. We found a spot by Sleepy Hollow 10 minutes before the 11:00 parade. Not to bad but A LOT of people were leaving as we were coming but really the storm was just a drizzle at that time.

How would you compare the weather that week to summer weather. It seemed pretty hot and humid but I wondering how this compares to summer. We're considering a trip the last week of May first week of June but am worried about the weather. Is it similar to the weather from this trip?

Monday and Tuesday of that week were Jewish Holidays. A lot of school districts with a high percentage of Jewish students will close for those two days since so many will miss school. I also wonder how many people shifted their trips up or back to avoid Matthew.

Funny, We were there 9/25-10/3 and thought the heat and humidity was almost unbearable at times! Yeah, the Sat night thunderstorm put on quite the "light show"!

Minijeanie, sorry you encountered crowds! But I agree with DisneyFive when he said you just picked the wrong park days. I'm surprised with the number of trips you've had that you were not aware how crowds are affected by F&W and MK parties. This was our 4th trip and I thought it was the lowest crowds we have ever experienced most things walk-on to 15 min wait (even 7DMT was only 27 mins at 12:30pm). Even Universal was nearly walk-on to 15 min waits until 4 pm. I guess even during low crowds a good touring plan is not a bad idea.

We were at WDW this past June 4th to 9th and I would say that the heat and humidity were very similar to our October weather.

Funny, We were there 9/25-10/3 and thought the heat and humidity was almost unbearable at times! Yeah, the Sat night thunderstorm put on quite the "light show"!
We thought it was unbearable at times, too. We got caught at DHS in that Sat night thunderstorm and got soaked.

I guess for us we had some ridiculously hot and humid weather for the weeks leading up to the trip, so to be around 89/90 while down there didn't feel bad at all. Sunday the 2nd was the only day I thought it got to a slightly uncomfortable level by the mid afternoon, but even that morning I found it to be a bit chilly.

That storm on Saturday night was nuts! We were at animal kingdom and when we finally realized it wasn't going to let up before the park closed so we left and ended up walking through rivers on the way out! I have never seen so much rain!
