I posted in the MNSSHP Thread, but just in case you don't want to sift through that long thread:
We just got back and went to the party on 10/7. We entered the park at 5:40 and got our wristband as we entered. Made our way through the exodus to Liberty square where guests with wristbands were being sent. Rides were open in Adventureland but the rest of the park was said to be closed - the CM "guarding" Liberty Square said we could go to Tomorrowland and wait for it to open (my son was chomping at the bit to get in line for space mountain). Well Tomorrowland rides never closed !! - we got there and there was maybe 10 or so people in Tomorrowland with wristbands - we rode space mountain at least 6 times with no waiting before heading to Buzz where there was no wait. It was great. It was about 7:30 before it starting filling at all. Never was a big crowd in my opinion. Stayed for the 10pm parade and saw the headless horseman. My 6yr old was falling down tired at that point when we spotted Woody on the otherside of the roped off street - parade had not quite begun. He was crying because we couldn't get to Woody (He LOVES Toy Story) - so I grabbed him and ducked under the rope and ran accross. We got Woody's autograph and photos. He was so happy. My tip is don't hang out in Adventureland with all the other wristbands go to Tomorrowland or Fantasyland - the rides will probably be running!

Rides in Fantasyland DID close down at 6 pm when we were there on 9/30. They blocked the entrances w/closed signs.

Ditto. We were there on 9/30 and it was exactly as described above... they totally made us stay in Adventureland. So I guess it's a YMMV thing.

We were also at the 9/30 party. We arrived around 5:15, squeezed into Casey's right before they closed, grabbed Hot Dogs and ate them at the tables across from the Plaza restaurant down by the stream. We saw CM's directing people coming up Main Street to Adventureland, but no one said a word to us. When we finished we walked up to the HUB where there were about 2 dozen people hanging out around Walt's statue. There were CM's at the spoke to Fantasyland and Tomorrowland that would not let anyone pass, but we were not forced into the left side of the park. We were aloud into Fantasyland at 5:50, and at that time the rides were all open, with absolutely no one there. We rode Dumbo, Pooh and the teacups in 15 min. We really didn't notice any crowds until we lined up for the late parade in Liberty Square.

We went to MVMCP last year and we thought the crowds were horrible, so much so that I was very leery about going to the Halloween Party. I really enjoyed the party and was amazed at how many rides we were able to ride with absolutely no wait time.

we went on 10/2 and found the same thing. we were told we could absolutely not go to Tomorrowland. Based on last year's party, we told our some to meet us at the entrance to the TTA at 6:15, that was the only reason they CMs would let my DH into tomorrowland right at 6. As soon as he caught up with DS, they had to leave.
