We spent the morning Sunday at Epcot then went to MGM for EMH that night. We arrived around 7:00. We did Tower of Terror, Rockin Roller Coaster numerous times in a row literally just getting back in line each time. NO WAITING AT ALL. When Fantasmic let out there were a few more in line, but by then we were done with that side of the park and went on to do Muppets 3D and Star Tours. It was awesome!! There were no fast passes offered. I had read on here that they were, but they weren't offered during MGM's EMH or Epcots.

Epcot EMH. We arrived at Epcot around 8:30 and found a great seat for Illuminations at the front of the World Showcase. Following the show, we toured the showcase from Canada to Mexico. Everything from the Interational Gateway until you get to Norway was completely closed. Malestrom was operating. Literally all the shops were closed including all food stands etc. We had waited to eat until after Illuminations, since we had kind of gotten off schedule. NOTHING WAS OPEN AT ALL! We then went to Test Track to check it out. (It was about 10:15 pm by this time.) There was a 40 minute wait for singles and 35 for standby!!! I couldn't believe it! It was busier than I had seen it during our whole stay. We decided to leave. It was a total bust! I was especially disappointed after all the fun we had at MGM.

BUT THE GOOD NEWS!! We literally waited in line for NOTHING except Monday at the Magic Kingdom. (I think it was busier than normal due to that being the only day that Spectromagic was shown.) Even then we used fast pass and the longest wait was Pirates of the carribean which was around 20 minutes!! OVERALL awesome trip and we may be stuck on January trips from here on out!! We were spoiled!

We also did the Segway tour. It was a real treat!! We loved it!
If anyone has any questions I'd be happy to answer any!

Thanks for the report! Bummer about stuff being closed during EMH at Epcot. When the EMH came out I wondered if it would be successful at Epcot.

Great report. Nice to know that its not very busy because I will be there tomorrow afternoon!! Can't wait, the kids can't wait...its great. :Pinkbounc :cool1:

We will be there Monday. Going crazy trying to get everything done, but we're so excited. :Pinkbounc Thanks for the info. re. EMH. We plan on doing MGM after the park closes, so it was great to hear it went well for you. How was the weather. I know it can change, I know it's been chilly (relatively speaking :smooth: ), but just wondering what your experience was. Thanks  .

The weather was great. Sunday was the prettiest day. We could have worn shorts during the day, swim, etc. The other days we wore capris, jeans and a short sleeve shirt with a light weight jacket for the early mornings and evenings. After it was so pretty on Sunday, DH decided he was wearing shorts on Monday even though it was cooler. That night he nearly froze with no jacket or anything. The weather even though it is warm in the afternoons varies quite a bit in the early AM and PM.

No rain at all really. It misted a TINY bit on Wednesday afternoon. I honestly wouldn't even count it. We didn't need a poncho or anything.

HAVE FUN!

I'm trying to think back accurately, but we I'm pretty sure that when we did EMH at Epcot a couple of weeks ago, food places were still open. I know I bought some coffee (it was cold!) at Morrocco and thought the food there looked good--there was even a line of people waiting to get the lamb. What I can't be sure of is whether that was before we watched Illuminations or afterwards. In any case, they need to have food available.....as you already well know.

Is the Future World area open as well as the W Showcase for EMH? If not what is the worth in the extra hours if nothing is open except for shops? Just wondering.

Thanks for the evening EMH update. I know a lot of people are really interested in how it's working out.

from everything I have seen, the EMH for epcot is for future world only, not World Showcase, thus, everything in worldshowcase should have pretty much been closed.
