We just got back this morning! We went to all 4 parks and stayed at POR, BWV, and WL. We were there from 11/13-11/21. I'd be happy to answer any questions!

How were the crowds? This is generally a slower time, but many folks, including me, have found this fall to be much busier than normal. Did you get to see a lot of Christmas decorations going up? How was the weather??

What were your likes/dislikes about BWV? We're staying there for the first time in Jan, as non-DVC members who rented points from a DVC member. We love the Boardwalk area, and the closest we've stayed to that area int he past is the Swan. Since we're pretty familiar with the area, I am mostly interested in your thoughts on your stay at the BWV, but I would appreciate any comments you have at all!

TIA!

We have gone this exact week 4 other times and I can say it is getting busier as each year passes. When we arrived on Sat. night it seemed busy at POR. Then when we checked into the BW on Sun. it didn't seem crowded at all. Then we mistakingly went to MK on Mon. Now I have to say we didn't arrive early or expect to see/do everything since we go every year and we would go back during the week. Well MK was more crowded than the past and I was thinking maybe left over crowds from the busy week/weekend. Anyway, every ride had a wait time. We are use to all walk ons except for Peter Pan and Winnie the Pooh rides. But those got to 50 min. waits!!! There were a no walk ons that we saw and the average wait time was 15min. It got much better during the week. When we went to Epcot we were alittle spooked because it was so empty!!! We loved it though and got to walk on Spaceship earth, like we usually do. We mostly spend our time in WS and there were performers and such and we really enjoyed those type of things.

X-mas decorations were up every where!! We were use to arriving with no decorations and slowly seeing them pop up at the resorts. They were up at POR, BWV, POLY, CR, WL, SS, GF, and I can't remember about the parks, sorry! I'll have to check the pics! The weather was perfect! In the beginning of the week it was alittle cloudy and chilly in the low 70's. Then it only got better. High 70's, sunny. Yesturday it was 80 and sunny! Perfect weather for capri's and tees. The kids and DH wore shorts and tees. At night it got cold. We always changed into pants and sweatshirts.

I just posted a review on the resorts board about our stay at BWV. Tis was our 4th time there so you can guess we love it! This was our 2nd time renting from a DVC'er on these boards. We recieved all the DVC perks like free valet parking and 10% off some restaurants. When you check in they will give you a little "perks" book that will give you the discount info. On your room card it will say DVC member and that's all you need to show! Every CM we encountered was in the true Disney spirit at the BW. We had an amazing BW view. The room, a studio is spacious and was so clean and everything was in great condition. The closeness to MGM and Epcot is great! We walked to and from both parks with our 2 kids with no problems. Easy walk. For more info check out the resorts board and if you have more questions I'd be happy to help!

We just got home last night. We always go at the end of November or beginning of December. I have to say that these are the most crowds that we have ever seen this time of year. The line for Peter Pan was 70 minutes on Friday! We went to Fantasmic on Saturday night, and the crowd there was normal as compared to other years. However, other than that the crowds seemed heavier. I don't mean unbearable, terrible heavy. It was just more than normal I think. It doesn't stop the MAGIC though!!!!
The Christmas lights were out at MGM on Saturday. (Osborne is turned on Wednesday I think.) I didn't see any in Magic Kingdom Friday, though. I can't remember any in Epcot and Animal Kingdom because we did those parks first. The lights were out all around Downtown Disney, too. Santa was even out for pictures!

We were also there the same time as you and stayed at the CR then the YC. The weather was GREAT but the crowds were larger than other years. Not that they were BAD - just larger. In past years we were able to walk on most rides but this year there were more waits. We still managed to get a lot done. Decorations were real nice. Still thought it was strange to be walking around and hearing Goofy singing about dreaming of a white Christmas! :)

We were there at the same time as you guys, and I was surprised at the crowds. Only two days were what I expected in terms of low crowds--Wed. 11/17 and Thurs. 11/18.

For those who have gone to WDW frequently, how do the crowds for the last two weeks compare to the crowds in last October? I'm trying to pre-plan next year, when our APs are still valid, and I want to avoid the first week in Nov. for Jersey days.

11/18-11/21 here too!!!

The reason that PP was a 50 min wait time on Friday was because the ride totally broke down and they had to put on all the lights and rescue all the passengers by ladders. The ride was then shut down for a while.

Crowds were extremely light compared to March, July or August when I have gone in the past. I didn't wait for longer then 20 min on anything and Stitch was the longest wait time. I am also extremely disappointed in that attraction as well but that's another thread.

What were they saying about opening date for It's A Small World?? Someone had previously mentioned that there was a sign saying that the opening was to be in May '05.

Of course, the official date of 3/05 continues to be all that I see on the internet, but figured you recent visitors would know better. Thanks!
