We just returned on Monday after spending a little over a week at Windsor Hills. This was our firsttime renting a home offsite, and as we were on the airplane I asked my Dh if he thought we would have a place to stay once we landed.
Everything turned out great.
We stayed in a 5br house with a pool, "The Magic Palace" rented thru Magic rentals. We had the pool heated and it was wonderful, sooo warm. My kids went to the community pool one night, said it was too cold (it was a cool night) and the water wasnt as warm as our pool. They didnt ask to go back, even with the waterslide. Which was fine with me, since 2 of my 4 kids were not tall enough for the slide and shed many tears. Kids have to be either 46 or 48 inches. We were just down from the playground which was wonderful.
It was nice that everyone could spread out, and the adults could stay awake once the kids went to bed. Only downside was the king bdrm mattress was horrible. I don't mind it for a night or two, but after that my back was killling me.
I did miss the DDP though! We spent way more at the parks on food, even with eating breakfast at the house.
I would recommend the house, and company to family and friends.
We will go back, stay offsite when we plan to go with extended family. Dh likes staying onsite at Beach Club, but for the cost of 2 rooms just for our family, a house sounds good to me.
