Okay, we just got back and due to using TGM, there will be many more trips! My husband had never enjoyed Disney before because he spent most of the time in line, but after TGM he loves it and wants to go back again. Here's what we did on our magic kingdom day(rides not in order of how we did it, but it gives you an idea of how much we did:

MK Day:
Buzz: 3x
Btmrr
Splash
Philharmagic:2x
Small World
Peter Pan
Pooh
TTA
Pirates:2x
HM: 2x
Jungle Cruise
And the train Ride
We also had time this day for a long nap and time at the pool

I will never go back without TGM.

Yea! I look forward to my trip with TGM, too! We usually plan for 3 days at MK alone but, may just revise that this year. (One day for Frontierland & Adventureland, one day for Fantasyland, HM, and Mickey's Toon Town Fair, and the last day at Tomorrowland and Fantasyland.)

What day of the week did you go?

We used TGM for our last trip and it was great! We took 3 hour breaks in the afternoon and still rode all the rides we wanted and didn't wait long for anything!

Let's just say that before I went on TGM I had my days planned and a few ADR'S, After TGM my days are rearranged and so are my ADR'S and I am happy and confident that I am going to have some great days in Disneyworld!

Love you TGM! :wave2:

TGM is great! The longest wait we had was waiting 12 minutes in the Kilimanjaro Safari FastPass line.

I walked onto almost every ride and the only wait time I had was in the queue (sp?) before you enter the ride's pre-show. I waited in the Soarin' line briefly but all others I was able to walk right up to the CM that separates guests into the numbered lines and then once there, I was usually on the ride within two run-throughs.

Wow...you really accomplished alot.

We are using TGM for the first time this fall. Did you follow his suggestions also for what time to do each ride/attraction or did you just follow his day of choice. Thank you.

Just got my AVP from Tour Guide Mike.... am reading it now.... can't wait to plan my vacation!!!!

Enjoy! You will find his forums to be very helpful.

I'm not dissing (no pun intended) TGM here, but I was able to accomplish a similar level of rides on our first trip (2003) using common sense, the DIS, allearsnet.com, and the Unofficial Guide.

My mantra: GET THERE EARLY!! I have other tips, but that one is most important. You just cannot waltz into a park at 11 AM and expect to go on the most popular rides without a lengthy wait. Unless you're going at a realllllly slow time of year, I guess.

Ah...good question...would love to tell, but that would be breaking the famous agreement and end up in TGM h*ll.

Alrighty then. So Tuesday? ;) I was just wondering if you followed that bit of advice--didn't realize I was treading on sacred ground! :confused3 And as far as the "agreement", it's the same advice you get at "touring plans" for free. It's not rocket science--don't go on days with EMH....!

I'm glad it worked for you. :)

Actually the theory is a little more detailed than that simplistic explanation.

Actually there are days on my upcoming trip that TGM and touringplans.com are polar opposite. (ex.One says MK will be low crowds another says avoid it) I'm trusting Mike because he gives you the reason why a certain park will have high or low crowd levels, he doesn't just give you advice based on the EMH. :thumbsup2

If you read the touringplans website they even tell you that they will recomend a park that is NOT the best chice for the day- they make sure every park is the top pick at least once every 7 days.

I have used the unofficial touring plans twice and TGM twice, all got 8-21 day vacations. TGM wins hands down. I will never go without him again. That said, the unofficial guide plans did work well- the TGM plans just work better for me.

Someone here asked if the OP just followed the green days advice or also did the rides in the order TGM suggests. IMHO The ride order is actually more important than the best day. His sample plans are key in the MK, just going on a good day is only good enough if it is a very slow season. HTH

Actually, we went on a day that was only a green choice half the day, and yellow the rest (it worked best with our overall itenierary.) Although the days we used his best park days were the least crowded, but even going on another day works if you follow his schedule and way of thinking...Anyway, as a newbie the $18 investment was priceless.
