Just back from a great trip to Disney. I had a few 'firsts' this time around and just wanted to share.

First time we parked our car at the BUF airport - easy peasy, no worries there. Shuttle is great and quick.

If you are celebrating an occassion at Disney and are doing split stays, I suggest you note that on both resorts. DD was spoilt as she received 2 buttons, 2 cards signed by Mickey and a towel cup cake:lmao:

The Coach Factory at Premium mall was handing out 20% off coupons. Not sure if they do it all the time or just weekends but that make the decision to pick up some hand bags, easy peasy as well.:cool1: The Disney store too had tons of stuff on sale. Great shopping.

If anyone is going shortly, there is a promotion going on at some restuarants at the MK where you get 20% off Disney merchandise at select stores. Helped in purchasing stuff. And the promotion this time was spend 40 bucks and get a 2 piece luggage set for 16 bucks. Had to pick this up as well. Gotta love a deal.

Can't think of anything else right now.........other than redeeming airmiles for Disney tickets for next year.:rotfl2:

Sounds like a nice time. I love it when things go smoothly :)

If you have pics of the luggage set, I'd love to see.

I'll try and post from home this evening. It's the standard roll on (carry on) with a another little bag, red in colour, with Walt Disney ..... on it etc.

They also have a promotion where if you spend 25 bucks you get a beach towel for 10.99. The luggage was way cooler and lots of people were buying it.

SOunds like you had a blast and got a lot of great stuff! Congrats!

Funny you say this, cause I was telling DH the same thing. It was our first trip as DVC members and good thing we did not buy park tickets earlier, as DD had a blast at the pools and Community Halls that we only ended up going to MK one day and they were happy with that. At her dinner at Chef Mickeys they did the cup cake thing and she was thrilled. We took b/day cards from the dollar store which had the characters on it and got them to sign that instead of the usual autograph books. Minnie actually went donw on her knees, looked at her button and actually wrote 'Happy Birthday S' on the card. Needless to say, DD was thrilled.

Gotta love crying toddlers. DD # 2 who is 2.5 years old, was crying in the hallway. A CM came by and she had 'mice' towel animals and gave her one. DD would not touch it, so she gave the 7 year old 2 of them saying they were 'Mickey and Minnie'. Then we did the tour of Saana, and they gave the 2 year old the light up Tinkerbelle, just like that. Our room at Kidani had a butterly towel animal.

All in all, good trip.

Edited to add: Watched the final game of FIFA in our room and was so happy that Spain won as I now get to collect $100 from my pool. Wooo hoooooo

Great news about the Buffalo airport~ thanks for sharing!

No problem. In all honesty, I was kinda worried about doing this as we always do the park/sleep and fly package. But this time we took the evening flight and just drove down and parked at the airport. I did think about my car a couple of times at Disney, you know, leaving it some place your not used it etc and it's a newer car too, but I really had nothing to worry about.

What were the crowds like? How was the weather, bareable? :goodvibes

This question brings me to one of my 'firsts' as I indicated on my OP. I did not mention on this board, but this was our first trip as DVC members. We did not buy our tickets before leaving and was going to do that after getting. Well, the DVC resorts are so good and have so much activities, that we ended up going to MK only and for one day only. So, all I can tell you is that on that one day we got to MK between 9 and 9:30 and walked on to most rides. We used the FP as much as possible so we did not have much wait. The most we waited for was 25 mins and that too was the posted time, but I'm sure the line moved way faster. The worst posted time I saw was 60 mins and that was for Space Mountain and it was around 8:00 p.m or so.

Oops, realised that the picture I have only shows one as the little bag is tucked in. I'll take out one tonight and post. Sorry about that.

Glad you had a great trip. I agree-BUF parking is great and CHEAP!

Don't tell me about the Coach outlet! LOL I have a small obsession with Coach purses, especially when you can get them for about $125 @ the outlets. I bought one on our trip to DL.

So you don't want me to tell you I picked up 2 purses for $150 US??? :lmao:
To be honest, I was not one for expensive purses, Walmart was were I shopped and only bought when on sale. I had the same purse for the longest time until I went to MCO last year and I ended up picking up one for work and one evening clutch. Told DH this year, let's just check out the store, I'm not going to buy anything. It was a Saturday, and the store was crowded. Hmmm, must be something going on. Then I saw lots of stuff for $99 and then heard someone say the magic words 'additional 20% off':cool1:. Bless my DH's heart, he told me to get 2 again. All I wanted was the one that you sling across your shoulder as I thought that would be great for parks/summer . Those ones were just 79 bucks each before 20% off. My sister asked me if I started collecting Coach purses. I'm guessing I should stop now.:rotfl2:

And I do know that they may be discountined model etc, bu to me it's NEW and that's all I care about.
