We returned last week from a whirlwind visit to DL/DCA and San Diego. The last time I visited DL was in 1975, but for the other OldPooh, this was his first visit ever. His first impression was that it was cleaner than WDW, and more detailed. I knew Sleeping Beauty's castle was small (well, smaller than Cinderella's castle in WDW), but I somehow remembered it being larger than it really was. But it is beautiful nonetheless. The 2 1/2 days we had to spend in DL/DCA was just not enough time to see everything. Next time I think we'll skip Universal and spend more time in DL.

Here are some photos. Hope you enjoy them!

Thanks and Was that Alladin show the best or what.

Great Pics.

Those pics on your other web page were also great. I had a quick question regarding the miniature sleeping beauty castle that you took a picture of. Where can you purchase that? It looked really nice and seemed reasonable in price ($275). My girlfriend and I are going this weekend and her favorite Disney movie/character is Sleeping Beauty. Thanks!

Thanks, hlbtimes2 and Alex2kMommy!

Thanks, SpazMonkey. I believe we saw that in the Disney Gallery in New Orleans Square. It's really beautiful and very detailed. I wish I had someplace to put it, not to mention the $$ to buy it.

First, thanks for your beautiful pictures of my home park. Second, thanks for acknowledging that Sleeping Beauty Castle is a beautiful castle. I know it's not as big as Cinderella Castle, but it drives me nuts when some people put Disneyland and it's castle down because it's smaller than WDW. Without Disneyland, there would be no WDW. Both are different and both are wonderful. People who choose not to go to DL because it's not WDW are really missing out on the park that has Walt's personal touch. Disneyland is what Walt did. WDW is a vision of what Walt might have done. Both parks are special, and I appreciate all those posters who understand and acknowledge that.

I'm with you, don't people know bigger isn't always better? Sleeping Beauty's Castle may be smaller but to me its prettier. And its 50th overlay is 50 times better than Cinderella's, espcially given that tacky mirror!

And to the OP, thank you for the great pictures!

Great photo's. What model of camera did you use? We did 4 days last year and it was not enough. We also need a USH fix.

Thanks so much for sharing!!!!

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Thanx for sharing.

Wow your photos are just great! Can I ask what kind of camera you have? I'm looking into upgrading mine and I'm just wowed by your pics! :thumbsup2

Oops ... sorry ... haven't checked back here in a while. Thanks for all the compliments - I'm glad you all liked my photos. :goodvibes

To those who asked about my camera - I use a Canon 20D. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have about the camera. Have you checked the photography board? There's lots of good information there!

While I'm here ... I could use your help. I attempted to create a slide show with my photos. I'm still looking for better music. Does anybody have any Frontierland or New Orleans Square music?

Please take a look at my videos and let me know what you think! (P.S. the larger you make it, the more the image degrades, so keep it small)

Thanks, and hope you enjoy!

I will be taking my 30D with me in August, expect to get some very nice photo's. Just depends on the photographer.

Thanks again,
