We got back Thursday night and here are our opinions of the restaurants we went to this trip:
Flying Fish: OK, not great. We expected a great meal and while I can say the crabcakes appetizer was great, my Mahi Mahi was oversalted and my DH did not like his Snapper much either. I don't think we'd go back again.
Narcoosee's: Great. I loved my pasta and hubby loved the scallops he had. Great view, good food. We'll go back again for sure.
Hollywood Brown Derby: OUTSTANDING! We'd had lunch there last year and thought it was good, but besides the cobb salad, not entirely memorable. We went there because of the Fantasmic dinner package and we were so pleasantly surprised. This was the best meal our entire trip. We split the Cobb salad appetizer, I had the filet and DH had the lamb. I had grapefruit cake and hubby had the chocolate torte for dessert. This was just the perfect meal. We'll defintely go back there in September.
Kona Cafe: Lunch and breakfast were great. The tonga toast was good, but the other breakfasts (I had biscuts and gravy and my son had scrambled eggs and cinnamon toast) were really good too. My burger was great at lunch and my DH really like the Asain noodle bowl. Get the kiddie cone to split for dessert. So yummy.
Ohana: Good. Great views. The food was just good really, but the people are nice and its a nice change of pace to eat family style.
Spoodles:Excellent! Much better than Flyisg Fish in our opinion. My salmon was great! DH loved his pasta. A very good and enjoyable meal. We would most definitely return to Spoodles.
Le Cellier: Fabulous. We loved it. The cheddar cheese soup is to die for. The pretzel breadsticks even better. Our sandwiches (french dip and steak) we great. The shrimp and salmon appetizers were wonderful. We loved everything about LeCellier. We have made this a must to return to in September.
Character breakfast ay Crystal Palace: Good, not great, but we didn't expect great. It was fun for my son though. He loved seeing Tigger and Piglet most of all.
The other days we just ate at the parks. Hot dogs, the Yorkshire fish place, pretzels and chicken at Animal Kingdom. They were also ok, but not memorable (except the hot dogs were especially good).
