Just a reminder about our cast of characters...
Me, 29 - loves to eat
DH, 30 - eats anything in sight
DS, 7 - same as DH
DD, 6 - our picky eater
Grandma, 55 and Grandpa, 54

Dec 10 - Had breakfast in the room again and lunch at McDonald's at DD.

Since I had left plans open for today, this being our last park day, everyone wanted to go back to MGM since we only had like 2 hours there on Monday in the rain. I called that AM and made PS for Sci-Fi. DH and Grandpa really wanted to eat there. We got there around our PS time of 5pm and waited about 10 minutes to get seated. Had to wait for the server to even see us. Have to admit that the menu wasn't that exciting and we werer wondering where the burgers were on the menu as we couldn't find them at all. Silly us didn't think to ask until we ordered and then say tables around us eating burgers. Grandma had some entree with hushpuppies. I can't remember what it was, but she said the hushpuppies were not what she thought. Grandpa has shrimp penne pasta and said it was great. DH has the prok medallions and the portion was tiny. We had to get him something else to eat when we got out of there. I had the topo sirloin and it was okay, nothing like the steakhouses here in the midwest. Kids had kid food, but got the light up ice cubes in their drinks and loved it. DH and I shared a Rocket Fuel drink and it was good. We also shared a chocolate shake. Good, but I have to say, not as good as what people lead you to believe. Food was terribly expensive for what you got. Glad we did it once, but probably won't go again unless DH has a hankering for the old movies. 4/10

Dec 11 - Breakfast at Kona Cafe again before we leave for the airport. Again, very very good. Can't wait to eat here again. See Part 3 for a better description. 10/10

Great reviews! Thanks for posting them. :)

Strange that the burgers weren't on the Sci Fi menu. I bet the entrees really bumped up the price of the meal. I've been hearing mixed reviews about Sci Fi in terms of value for what you pay.

Thanks for posting your reviews. Breakfast at Kona was a great way to end your trip!

zulaya, Thanks for all of the great dining reviews. Great reading and useful information!

Thanks for all of your wonderful reviews! Some of my favorite restaurants are on there as well as some of the ones we plan on trying on our next trip in May :)

DH and I ate at Sci-Fi during our honeymoon back in '96 and thought it was AWFUL. Never want to go back to that! Our worst service ever was at Chef Mickey's - other than those 2 we've never had anything but good food and service at WDW.

Glad you had fun eating!

Have really enjoyed your reviews. Thanks for sharing!

We love Kona Cafe too! Thanks for the reviews!

Thanks for these and all your other fab reviews :)

I ate at the Sci-Fi on Sunday before we left for our flight home. We'd eaten there before and found it so-so, and for me, it was pretty much the same this time, but the service was good, and the atmosphere is great fun! The only problem I have is that in general I do like to be able to see what I'm eating, hehehe. I'd do it again if I was pushed for somewhere to eat in MGM, but I'd not go out of my way for it. DBF liked it, but that's because it showed Tom & Jerry and he got a blue light-up icecube too
