Just returned from 8 days with myself, DH, DD 7 and DS 4

movies food court: nothing to complain about but nothing to really brag about either. the muffins were good, the pasta selections were fine. they didn't have a kids egg feature which was frustrating one morning.

Donald's Restaurantasaurus Charater meal, this was a buffet and was good, we all enjoyed this meal, good selection, fun service, characters came around and spent enough time at our table.

Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic dinner package. We felt this was a good deal, we entered the theater about 30 to 45 mins before the show and the general seating was already quite full, we would not have wanted to sit for the hour + it would have taken to get a good seat there, we were happy with our seats and not squished. The buffet was good, my husband ate his price in shrimp and mussels alone, it was nice that there was special kids foods.

Garden Grill Ice Cream social. the icecream was good, except they dont' ask what you want and my daughter doesn't eat chocolate so I didn't get the chance to ask for no chocolate, fortunately there was no chocolate syrup so she just pulled off the chocolate ears, we broke the chocolate off the cone and she didn't eat the cookie. We all felt that this was terribly overpriced! 2 adults and 2 kids and nearly 50 bucks. The characters were slow, we saw Chip and Pluto a couple times, Chip was fun spent some time playing with the kids, but Mickey breezed by and Dale never came, so all in all we felt ripped off.

La Cellier dinner, was great, great service great food, nice to the kids.

Date night at Flying Fish, great food, great service, a bit slow to bus the tables, and loud when kids seated near by but overall we really enjoyed this experience and felt it was worth the money

Earl of Sandwich at Downtown Disney, very good sandwiches, a long line to get them though

Liberty Tree Tavern dinner before Halloween Party. This was good, the food and service were great, the characters were fine, none spent very much time however. We did finally get to meet Dale.

We also hit various counter service restaurants for meals, we were happy to see that there seems to be more selection for kids, not all deep fried and not only fries for side items.

There seems to be a lack of choices in Animal Kingdom, we ate at Pizzasafari twice, counter service seems to be limited here, we love this park.

It seems like in Magic Kingdom unless you are in Tomorrowland there aren't many counter service places, actually there really aren't that many places to dine at all, you have to have a PS for any of the sit down places. The restaurant in Adventureland was not open, so that pretty much left Tomorrowland and Gepettos (sp) and they always seemed so loud and crowded.

Thanks for the reviews!

As far as counter service choices in MK and AK - we always go to Pizzafari in AK, but I've read many great reviews of Tusker House and Flame Tree Barbeque, so you might want to consider one of those next trip if you're sick of Pizzafari. In MK, Pecos Bill's in Frontierland has some good selections. Our personal favorite is Columbia Harbour House in Liberty Square. Not only is the food really good, it's usually not very crowded (shhhh..don't tell anyone else though, or the secret will get out! ;) )

Thanks for the reviews...we were just there and stayed at ASMovies....we ate breakfast at the food court and while we were there they did offer a kid's version of the adult breakfast platter which included eggs.....DD had a hard time choosing between that and the Mickey waffle.

my son just wanted cheesy eggs, not all that other stuff, a cheese omlet would have been fine, but they don't offer it or discount it without all the other stuff (potatoes and biscuit ) which he would not eat, nor would he eat the omlet if that other stuff was touching it. I know pain in the butt picky eater, but well you gotta deal with what kind of kid they are. I did get him the omlet, but didn't think it was fair to have to pay full adult price for just the omlet when it would cost them nothing to offer it alone or discount the platter when it was alone.

Why was the ice cream social so expensive? I thought it was 6.99/pp Has the price gone up or did you order a lot of extras?
