We just got back yesterday (Sunday) from our 6 night stay at Boardwalk Villas. We had some great meals during our stay...
Dinner at Garden Grille our first night was lots of fun although we found out really quick that our 10--month old was definitely scared of the characters--she screamed so loud I think they heard her in the Magic Kingdom!
We did the Pooh and Friends lunch at Tony's--food was excellent...3 of us had the chicken parm and my brother-in-law had the calzone of the day...excellent!
50's Prime Time--we had a really nice time but we went pretty late. I think the interaction with other diners and stuff would have been better when it was more crowded. Also, I had been looking forward to the pot roast and it was kind of dry like it had been sitting. Although I have to say that when our waiter fed my husband his last bite of food, it was some priceless video. And the lady next to us had to get up and sing "I'm a little teapot" because she kept putting her elbows on the table.
We had dinner at Alfredo's which was ok. We had stayed away for a few years because we weren't overly impressed, but we love Italian food...so we went back this year. It was ok--I still don't think it was worth the money. Probably will stay away another couple of years!
We had the Princess Storybook Breakfast the next morning which was really good. My 4-yr old daughter was dressed in her new beautiful Jasmine outfit (which cost a fortune at MGM) and Jasmine had the same outfit on so she was thrilled. We also saw Mulan, Snow White, Princess Aurora and Belle. All were nice and the food was good. I did feel a little rushed but we had the last seating so they were cleaning up a little bit around us.
We ate at Sci-Fi the next night which was o.k. I like the lunch menu there better..shakes and burgers...beyond that I don't think their food is that great...but we like the atmosphere and my DD got a neat glowing cup with her drink.
We cancelled our Le Cellier reservation (boo hoo, now I have to wait a whole year) because we were too rushed so we just ate at the boardwalk at the Big River Brewing Co. We had a surprisingly yummy dinner--Penne Pasta w/ marinara sauce and grilled chicken and cheese on top. Unfortunately, our 10-month old didn't cooperate so we had to take turns and chow down the meal in 5 minutes.
We had dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern the night of MNSSHP which was a lot of fun. Everyone was dressed up and the staff of LTT were all painted up like Haunted Mansion people. The food was really yummy--our waiter even brought me a whole hot plate of food later because I had to take the baby outside due to the characters. Another screamfest. Great meal though and really neat for Halloween.
Any questions...feel free to ask!! (I have to start planning the next trip!!)
