What a great trip, although the weather wasn't always cooperative - here's a few reviews of our dining choices:
Day 1 - Arrival - Wasn't time to check in at WL, so we stopped at the Grand Floridian Cafe for a sandwich. I've had the Grand Sandwich before, and went back to try it again. This has layers (lots of layers) of shaved ham, turkey, covered with melted Boursin cheese (anything is good with melted Boursin) and tomato on a toasted bread of some sort. It had crispy onion straws on top. Delicious and hot! DS (19) had the turkey club - his usual - said it was very good, full of ingredients, no skimping. Fries were hot, crispy on the outside, thick and soft in the middle. Tea and coke brought our bill to 32.00 with tip. Grade - A
Went over to the MK about 5 - still pretty full from late lunch, thought we
would just grab a hot dog around 7:00 - after reading the boards here, we went over to Pecos Bill's - they did serve me a hot dog from the kid's menu for only 2.99 - I didn't want fries or anything - DS ordered a 1/2 lb. bacon cheeseburger and fries - we laughed at the one little shriveled up piece of bacon - the hamburger was made edible by the melted cheese poured over the top from the fixings bar. He also used that to cover his fries. I did like the piles of grilled onions I added to my hot dog. He said his hamburger was pretty awful though, gave it an F, and since I gave the hot dog a C, we came out with overall D. 15.50 with 2 drinks, and a vow to skip any more counter service.
