Yesterday was our last day at WDW
I wish I was back there now!
We finished up our trip by eating at Chef Mickey's for a late breakfast (we all had ice cream treats earlier to tie us over).
Chef Mickey's Breakfast Review: - used our last 4 TS credits here.
We made this ADR late as we were going to eat at Boma's but my kid's saw the special on the Food Network about WDW and wanted to eat at Chef Mickey's instead. It was worth it!
The food, the atmosphere and the characters were all wonderful!
I'll start with the food. There was so much of it! We stuffed ourselves silly as we knew we'd be flying late into the night and probably wouldn't eat until about 10pm again.
We all started with the fruit and goodies section (Krispy Kreme doughnuts, danishes, pudding, etc.) and fresh delicious fruit. We then moved on to eggs, bacon, sausage, Mickey waffles and freshly made pancakes (some shaped like Mickey), hash browns, etc. I remember reading a thread on here awhile back about the bacon at Chef Mickey's being especially good. It was!! Everything here was delicious. I normally don't like buffets, but can usually tolerate breakfast buffets. This one was superb! The food was hot and fresh.
The characters were wonderful too. Goofy greeted us while we waited. He was acting "goofy" with the family next to us and our kids as well (hiding their eyes and tickling them). The other characters come to your table - we saw Mickey, Minnie, Chip and Dale. Pluto was there too, but he never made it to our table and our kid's didn't mind, so we left without seeing him. We already had all of their autographs, so we just wanted attention and pictures. Chip and Dale were hilarious! They have their names on their hats and aprons. Just for fun though, I teased when Dale came by and called him Chip. He threw a little chipmunk fit
- it was so funny! I asked if Chip was around and he held his nose as if to tell us "Chip stinks." So of course, DH had to tattle on Dale when Chip came by and Chip started crying! Our kid's thought it was terrible we made him cry, but them Chip "told" us that Dale is the one that stinks.
They also did the character parade when you wave your napkins and they play music. It was a fun way to end our incredibly fantastic and magical week!
This meal would have been about $78 (I lost the receipt).
Stay tuned, I'm saving the best for last ... up next LeCellier's!
