I used the coupon deal with dollar for 1/2 off a jeep cherokee, we got a Mitsubisi (spelling) Montero (spelling again) and it was really nice, only 34 miles on it. I used the fastlane, even though there were not many people in line at 11:00 am on a Saturday, I got the keys and then went back up to get my son and the luggage. It was easy to get to the lot and got the car right away. I used the directions from this board to get to WDW and had no problems. We were in the WL by 12:00 to check in, not too bad. Returning the car was a breeze! I got gas in WDW even though it was more expensive, but we had not used the car that much so it was no big deal. The return lot was well marked and easy to find. Then we just took our luggage over the the USair counter and checked in.

The only time we used the rental was to go to IOA and I had no problems getting there, I used the directions from the dollar rent a car book...you really appreciate the disney buses dropping you off in front of a park after you go to IOA, the parking lot has to be a mile from the park entrance, you walk and walk and ride the moving side walk, but my goodness what a distance.
.
Disney transportation was wonderful, we stayed at the Wilderness lodge and I had read some bad things about the transportation. But really we waited most times 10 to 15 minutes for the bus or a boat....except Saturday night after the second Spectro Magic, instead of taking the resort monorail to the TTC and getting the WL bus, we opted for the boat, we waited nearly a half of an hour, I think, but I am not sure, that the problem may have been that the electric water pageant was going by, because no boats were coming to the docks at all.
..
Thanks to all for the great information it was very helpful.

Glad transportation worked well for you. In regards to the wait for the boat... I'm guessing you're right... The time that the Water Pageant floats goes across the water bridge unfortunetly often times coincides with busy times. When the pageant is going across the bridge, they will close off all water traffic, so the Cruisers cant get by.

The only upside is that every so often, they'll turn on the lights for the pageant as they cross the bridge, so it looks really cool as I drive underneath it! hehe... Okay, so it's not an upside for the guests waiting for the boat... but I like it! :)
