We arrived home last night after 6 days at WDW. Here are a few quick observations to tide you over until I write my trip report :)

We stayed at POR, as we did on our last trip in May. The resort was absolutely packed on the weekend, clearing out considerably on Monday. Although I did request a closer building, and tried to do better at check-in, we ended up in building 35. It was too far out and I won't stay at POR again because I don't want to risk being that far away from the food court. We only used our mugs a couple of times, because we didn't want to make the walk in the rain. On the plus side, we were pretty close to the West Depot bus stop. Transportation was good; we only had to wait once over 15 minutes.

Speaking of rain, it rained every single day we were there, and on Sunday it poured all day. We had MNSSHP tickets for Sunday night. What a disappointment! MK was themed beautifully, but the rain made everything hard to enjoy. The 8:30 parade was cancelled (at about 8:40, after we had stood at the curb for almost an hour, and we left about 9:30. I don't know if the later parade was held or not. DS was very disappointed that he didn't get to see the headless horseman.

Prior to MNSSHP, we ate at the Liberty Tree Tavern and had a great time. DS was dressed as Sorcerer Mickey. Chip paraded him around the restaurant and presented him to Minnie, who gushed all over him. DS was embarassed, but it was priceless. All of the characters at LTT were great, and we would definately eat there again.

The only other table service restaurants we ate in during this trip were Rose and Crown (our server Heather was the nicest waitress we've ever had) and Hollywood and Vine (DS' favorite restaurant). We will return to each of these establishments again. At the Rose and Crown I had the fish and chips, which I loved. DH had sausage rolls, and DS had mac and cheese.

The Food and Wine Festival at Epcot was a blast, and I know I gained at least a little weight. We spent Saturday here, and the park was very busy, similar to what we experienced in May. Barrage was playing and they were wonderful. DS had to have a CD, and I admit that I "appropriated" it to bring to work today. We saw ToD for the first time, and although I missed the Sage, I thought the new characters and narration were great. So much of the music is the same as in ToN, and for that I was thankful.

We returned to MK on Monday, and had a great day. The crowds were low. Not as low as they are in January, but smaller than in May. There was a 20 minute wait for Space Mountain, but about a 5 minute wait for Buzz. We spent the afternoon at MGM, and had fun there as well. MGM is my favorite place to hang out and people watch. I didn't see as many characters here as I normally do, but we did get to see Miss Piggy and Kermit, whose autographs we did not already have. DS was thrilled, because there is nothing more important to him than getting a new autograph. His other new autographs for the trip were Mary Poppins, Launch Pad, and Alladin.

I'll get started on my trip report now!

this gives me something to anticipate........hope to see it soon
