Just back POR new room items...

We returned home yesterday. 10/10-10/17.
On our fourth day we returned to our room and they installed a blow-dryer and an iron!! We liked POR. it was really spread out and That was a bit inconvenient but the grouds were lovely. We got to the hotel at 2 and requested rooms 14,15, 16, or 27 AB and all were full!! We ended up with a corner room AB 38 and WOW this was a great location!! Our room was a nice size and we were close to Magnolia pool/laundary and Old Man Island. The Food court was nice, but I was dissapointed that the refillable mugs did not include milk We never did eat at Boatwrights. We enjoyed the boatride to Downtown Disney . They dropped us off close to Disney Quest but said the pick-up was all the way by the RainForest! We took the bus back because the kids were too tired for the walk. We liked POR but for curiosity's sake we will try another resort next time. POr was alot of walking and this was hard after averaging 8-10 miles of walking at the parks per day!!

Great news about the blowdryers! Hope that holds true for all moderates!

We have visited all the moderates, but have only stayed at POFQ and size is the reason. Unless you luck out and get a primo location, you could end up with a long hike to the food court or pool. Unless we can get in POFQ (when it reopens) we will probably stick with the deluxes.

Thanks for posting. I had heard this was going on from a friend of mine that works there. I also heard that they are at 100% capacity too. I will be there in a couple of days and can't wait. I am hoping for the mansions and actually considered asking about paying for an upgrade to a king room, but with it 100% filled, I will be lucky to get a room. I sure hope we are not put in the AB section. Not my favorite, also since it's only 2 of us, seems like a waste, esp. for someone who needs the extra beds. Boatwrights is great for breakfast, so look forward to that. This is probably our 15th stay at Dixie Landing! Our favorite moderate!
