Let me start by thanking everyone here.
Our trip was so magical everyone went out of there way to be great to my mom.
She stayed in her wheelchair & we brought her walker to the parks just in case she wanted to walk a little.
The Poly. was perfect for us we had rooms 1125 & 1126 Rapa Nua
1125 had a roll in shower.

We did get a GAC & every CM was wonderful to us.
I will answer any questions

We had very little wait at first mom would transfer but with her med. issues she slipped & fell not bad I caught her in IASW after that she did not transfer we waited to the wheelchair car.

Her GAC had 4 stamps on it some CMS read it some did not.

How did you manage to bring her walker with you? Was it easier to get on any of the rides with it?

Did you think getting the GAC was a good idea?

GAC = Guest Accomodation Card
It is a card you can get at Guest services in the parks which they stamp with various stamps that you use to inform Cast Members of hidden needs that a guest may have. you don't need one for mobility only if you are in a wheelchair or ECV.

Mom has a rolling walker with a seat & breaks she mostly used it in shops.
My DH or my self pushed it around & mostly left it in stroller parking. It made mom feel mot indpendant to have it w/ her.

The Gac helped us because mom has multi handicaps- such as sight & others
If it was just her in a wheel chair I don;t think she would of needed one- just go to guest relations- they we super with us & mom.

Just a fyi- mom hates to drink water & has a perm iliostomy & is on meds that can dehydtate you- so we bRought those little powdered drink mixes & bought bottles of water in the parks. mom had no issues at all.

There is a whole section about GACs (Guest Assistance Cards) in the disABILITIES FAQs thread near the top of the thread list for this board.

How nice of you to tote the walker all around for her :)

Its funny you should mention the water, my granmother is the same way! I'm not sure that we could get her to drink the flavoured water either, but it would be a good idea for us to pack several juice boxes for her. Thanks for the reminder :)
