Info for those of you heading to WDW in the future:

We got a Photopass at the beginning of our trip when my son got his picture taken with Mickey. After that I handed it to the photographer every time there was one around a character greeting area. (I don't remember photographers being around all the characters in Toontown and other character greeting areas but they're there now.) I took pictures myself but I figured it was an insurance policy in case there was a good picture they got that I missed. We also had one family photo in front of the castle, a family photo with Mickey and Pluto at MGM and a photo of me and my daughter holding Tinkerbell at MK (I wanted it of her alone since she loves Tink, but she's only 2 and just wouldn't keep her hands held out by herself).

I'm glad I did it, because now that I'm home, instead of lamenting the 12 rolls of undeveloped film taken over 9 days that won't be ready to look at for a week, I entered my Photopass info and voila - I have 25 pictures of my kids with characters immediately. So cute! A priceless one of my 2 year old daughter with Cinderella and my son with Pooh. Of course, I also have about 9 pictures in my account of some other children, so I now know to pay attention to my photopass number to prevent the busy photographer from giving mine to someone else by accident.

I viewed all my pictures in a slideshow and I e-mailed them to my mom and best friends. You can e-mail and share pictures for free. I can print them out, but only if I printed the whole screen with Disney text and the toolbar. But I know I took all of these pictures myself so it was nice to just have them to look at until my pictures are developed.

I probably won't order any of the pictures - so expensive, and quite frankly, because in the family ones, I look so tired I think I ruin them. Lesson learned - have family photo taken on first day in parks. :) In the picture of my daughter and I holding Tink, I look like I got about 2 hours of sleep. Yikes! And in the family photo I look fat and dishevelled. :guilty: And, if you can believe it is possible, my husband, the same man who had his eyes closed for our only family picture taken in front of the castle in 2003, also closed his eyes for this one. (not to mention in at least 3 pictures in our wedding album. Sense a trend here?) I have threatened him that he is to keep his eyes open and not blink as long as there is a photographer in front of us from now on.

You have 30 to view and order pictures, so I'll get mine developed and then see if I will order any of the ones in my account. Despite how bad I look, I still might get the Tink one for my daughter.

Just thought I would tell you all this story in case you're given a photopass by a photographer. I would do it even if you don't plan to buy them - it's a quick reminder once you get home.

:rotfl2: LOL about your husband :rotfl2: Those are the pictures that you need to keep and cherish those moments for the rest of your life :goodvibes

Do the photographers scan your card before or after they take your picture? I was just wondering if I should keep an eye on the photographer to make sure that he doesn't hand my card to someone else?

Please...don't rely on photopass. Take your own photos, too. 90% of the pictures that were taken have the heads cut off. Be the characters or even more...my sons. A picture that was great at mgm, with him holding stich (like the tinkerbell ones) is incredible, but the top of his head is cut off!! Almost everyother picture, the characters heads are cut off, too. I sent a comment email to the photopass site...but I doubt they will "train" any better. I definately would have purchased several pictures, if they all had their heads...now I may just get the stich one and scrapbook something ontop of my son's head (mouseears, maybe) cuz his face is priceless...it matches stiches!! Plus, they lost the only family photos we had done, this was at MGM. Luckily we were there for the day and were able to search for them (and found them!!) But it took over 1/2 hr!!! I ended up with peoples photos on my pass, that weren't us, and that's how we ended up finding it, but looking up these others #'s and the pictures taken after them!! :confused3

I ended up with 32 pictures on my photopass. Of the 32, 2 of them weren't my kids (they were of 2 other kids with Daisy and Donald). My kids with Daisy and Donald weren't there. I emailed Disney via the link on the photopass site and they did find the pictures of my kids and added them to my account. I will probably order a couple of them. They got a couple shots that I didn't. I had heard some stories about missing pictures before we went so I did purchase our family picture taken in front of the castle before we left Magic Kingdom.

They scan the card after they take the picture, I think.

We did have pictures of other children on our pass as well, and there are some pictures missing, so I'm thinking at some point my card got mixed up with someone elses. If you're in a busy greeting area, there is a small chance of getting the cards mixed up so it pays to pay attention.

We didn't have any heads cut off on ours - that stinks!

The rolls of film I took will be in on Friday, so until then I'm still looking at my Photopass images!

Oh, the pictures of him with his eyes closed and of him looking at the ground are in our wedding album. I looked good, so why not? He did ask not to put them in, but in some cases there was no alternative. I wasn't going to not include a photo of us walking down the aisle after the ceremony was over!

LOL!! Oh, I totally feel for your dh! I am a "blinker" too. It is so hard for me sometimes to not blink when the camera goes off, it's worse when the flash goes off, but sometimes it's just the click that makes me blink!?!?!? If you look at our Photo Pass pix (the link is in my sig.) you'll see that I am halfway blinking in a few pix... And of the pix we took ourselves, 75% of the ones of me where the flash went off, I am either partly or completely blinking!! We ate at CRT and I was in most of the pix with the princesses since my boys didn't want to pose with them...we have pix of me blinking with Cinderella, me blinking with Snow White and me blinking with Aurora. LOL!! I swear I try my hardest not to blink, I really can't help it. :guilty:

Glad you enjoyed using the Photo Pass though, I still need to decide which ones I want to order of ours. :)
