Just back and it was ok but not overly impressed. Had 2 bedroom condo. Usually the time share condos we have gotten at other places were nicer and had hot tubs free standing. Not as clean as I would have liked it. Dead spiders and webs hanging from ceilings. Unbelivably long walk to anything even pools and shuttles within the resort only run once an hour. I just love staying on the disney grounds and even though those hotels may be spread out you can always walk to the pools. Orange Lake is a beautiful area but also disappointed that no complimentary shuttle was offered to Disney parks. So if some people in your party were going to Disney your rental vehicle was gone and you had no easy way to get around the resort quickly.

Could you share - which section of the resort were you in? The Golf Villas are the oldest and furthest from the pool areas. All the reviews that I've read about the North Village or the Tennis Villas have been excellent.

We love staying at offsite timeshare resorts (haven't been to OLCC). But if someone stays offsite anywhere and expects the kind of shuttle transportation offered at Disney, they will always be disappointed. That's just not realistic offsite, IMHO.

Offsite, to me, means driving your own vehicle or using a taxicab when a group needs to split up. Since we even prefer to drive anyway (dislike waiting around for crowded buses, especially while standing on our feet at the end of the day), this is no big deal for us. For people who strongly prefer the shuttle buses, onsite makes a lot more sense.

We were in the WEst villas on Lake Kem rd. I have stayed on ground MANY times and did not expect the transportation to Disney to be anything like staying on grounds, I just hoped they would have some transporation to the parks. They had none. One day we did take a cab but called the front desk to see how to get one. They said we had to first call to have their shuttle bring us to the front desk and they would order a cab. So we said send one, after a half hour and no resort shuttle, we had someone take us to the front desk. What a hassle. The cab driver we had was wonderful and gave us his card and said if we want to go anywhere to call hime and he'd pick us up right at our front door. Again I didn't expect shuttle trans to be like Disney, I just expected that they would have something.

There last April and you can do a search and find my umpteen posts.

We were in the North. Huge rooms, TV's and Whirlpool. Yes I know older one's do not have them.

Agree with shuttle. On ground it is terrible. Played golf on new course and waited for a ride back. I gave up and walked.

I was only disappointed we did not take better advantage of the activities for the kids and the theme evenings.

If I do go back, i will spend less time at parks and more time relaxing...

Never go without a car and if planning to split drive back and forth. It is a relaxing 15-20 minutes max to WDW.
