Just back OKW

Hi Everyone,
We just wanted to touch base about our trip. We stayed in a studio at OKW (Bldg 18 1816). We had a late check-in so the room was ready and in perfect shape. CM's at check-in were nice as always. The trash/towel service was good and done on a timely fashion, though nothing extra like wash cloth animals or fancy shapes. The peep hole in the door was about the size of a port hole and let light shine right in the the middle of the bed at night, but a wad of tissue took care of that. As far as the rest of our trip it went very well,we had rented a car so we didn't use the buses that much, but when we did it seemed to take forever for them to come.The weather was to cold to swim even though the pool water was nice and warm. the theme parks were crowed most days but fast pass worked extremly well for the popular rides. There was also ALOT of characters in all the parks to sign and take pictures with, more then we have ever seen on past trips and we hope Disney continues to do this.Well that's it for now, if anyone wants to know something just post it and we will be glad to answer back.

Did your room have new furniture or bedspreads? I read that Disney was refurbishing at Old Key West.

Hi Littlestar,
It seemed to us that everything on the bed was fresh and new. as far as the funiture it looked to be the same table and chairs.

Thanks for dropping a note of your stay. We can't wait to get back home. On our last trip we used our car, we've noticed that we can get around much quicker too (especially during busy times - Christmas Week for us)

Less than 6 weeks til the magic begin again.

In the 20+ years I've been going to WDW, I've never had these animal shapes folks mention. I wonder if they tend to do it for people with small children more than the adult guests?

We originally had a two-bedroom at BCV booked for a trip in May, but recently changed that to a one bedroom at Old Key West and a studio at BCV (have a daughter that is getting married and wanted privacy for her and her husband to be in a studio). So, I'm trying to read everything I can on both places!
