just got back from a long weekend, 7-31/8-3. And, nobody was there.

On Friday, we hit Universal, and the longest wait was maybe 30 minutes, with most of the attractions at 15 min. or less. On Saturday, we visited La Brea, and then hit DL in the afternoon. In about 6 hours we did 13 attractions, with only one of them being FP. the longest lines were about 40 min. at Indiana and Space Mtn. On Sunday we did CA, and again, no lines. Walked on to Monsters, Screamin, etc. the longest wait was Toy Story for about 35 minutes which we did a couple of times.

We stayed for the nuight parade, and ate at the Italian restaurant. After eating, a table opened up on the terrace, at the wall overlooking the street, and were able to finish our wine and watch the parade from a great location without being crowded.

On Monday we hit DL again, and the crowds were back, a little bit. The average wait was about 30 min. so we FP a lot. On Monday, however, the attractions were breaking. During the day, Space Mtn, Splash Mtn, and Indiana Jones all went down for a while.

Had good eats as well. Hit the In n out burger, ate at Shakys Pizza (which we havent seen in 20 years around here) Ralph Brennans in DD, and the Italian place in CA.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn on Manchester. Nice place. had a refrig. in the room. The bus was 4 bucks a day for those over 9 yrs and 2 for those under 9 yrs. It was cheaper to drive and pay the $12 parking.

We've been here all week (3-8) and the crowds on Monday were much lower than on any other day. It's been fairly crowded people-wise, but the wait times are not too bad. I wouldn't say there's NOBODY here, but it does seem like attendance is down for this time of the year.

It's been VERY hot, though!!!! Today seems cooler finally!

We had a day trip on Wed Aug 5 and the crowds were lower than typical for summer - especially in the first half of the day. Here is a quick summary for Wed FWIW of rides that we did. Note that we used FP on some of the rides so the longer wait times were what was posted when we arrived.

Was there yesterday and found the crowd level very low for a Friday summer day. Kids were able to ride most of their favorites at least twice or even three times. Very happy kids at the end of the day. Was very pleased with the weather, too. Nice cool breezes in the mid-afternoon made for a very pleasant day.

We were there all last week and the crowds weren't that bad. I've never been in the summer and was dreading it, but by noon we'd ridden 6 or 7 rides. We took afternoon breaks by the pool, then headed back to the parks for a few hours in the evening. I was most surprised by the lunch lines, never had to wait behind more than 1 or two people at CS places during the lunch hour, past May/Dec trips have seemed much more crowded. The parks were packed, but not nearly as bad as I'd expected...

This makes me so very happy!! I leave in 10 days, I hope its still low crowds!! are all the Ap's back in the park now?

No, the SoCal APs are still blacked out until August 16.

It was by no means empty we usually go for spring break and although crowded never seemed as crowded as this trip while most ride wait times were low there were alot of peeps, some areas of the park were quieter than others but still lots of people to move around!!! We were there from 8/5 to 8/8 thursday was our least crowded day but all in all was a great trip i'll just stick to springtime from now on...Spending my birthday in DL was great also... Have fun Teatime just take it slow and enjoy.... sorry bout the creme brule change at BB though if you have not already thought of trying Cafe Orleans I highly recommend it was a great meal and I look forward to eating there again.
