Liked Rise of the Resistance, enjoyed the Beauty and the Beast sing along but I have to say my highlight was the Skyliner. Keep in mind I won't take a bus even to MK but having this additional option is fantastic. It's quiet and efficient and I'm convinced that you can go from Epcot to the studios this way faster with the transfer at CBR than by taking the boat. I'd really like to see it expanded to AK or at least from the Lodge to AK.

I'm with you. When we went in December, my number one goal was to ride the Skyliner, which I did, several times. I didn't even care where it was going - I just wanted to experience it and see the parks and resorts from that perspective. It seems to be quite efficient (minus the occasional breakdown), and I, too, would love to see it expanded.

Great to hear! I look forward to riding the skyliner. We're staying at Pop. Only thing is, we can't even take advantage of it much as I hear it starts too late if you want to catch a Boarding Group at HS. And for our Epcot day, we are going to start with breakfast at Boma. It will at least get us back to Pop at the end of the day.

100% don't agree

Skyliner is fine but I wouldn't put it in the same ballpark as Star Wars and such.

Although I guess some people think the Monorrail is better than SDMT or Its a Small World.

Just want people to have realistic expectations.

Prefer the boat if I can sit outside otherwise Skyliner is better transportation at Disney right now.

I mean no disrespect to your wish that it comes to AKL, but my wish is that is the last thing that happens. AKL has such a specific theme and has such a peaceful feel, we feel it would really mess up the look of AKL and doesn't belong there. Sadly, the Skyliner looks like a bunch of high-voltage towers along the road. It's really changed the look and feel at CBR, and not for the better.

That being said, if the reliability continues to improve, I have no doubt they have plans to expand it. They didn't just want it for AoA, Pop Century, CBR, and Riviera. So the future of the transportation option will be interesting. And it does offer some alternatives to spread out the crowds. You have some folks who love it and won't need buses. And you have some folks who won't ever ride Skyliner, and they can use the buses! Sounds like a decent plan.

I also agree with you. The Skyliner was the first thing my whole family wanted to ride and we did so that night just after getting to the resort in November. My two kids (12 and now 10), wanted to ride it every chance we got. They wanted to ride it to MK and I had to explain that wouldn't happen... so instead we rode to Epcot and walked to the monorail. The monorail is another thing they love.

We'd spend all day riding "real" rides and they'd always ask, "can we also ride Skyliner?" So I'd leave Mama back in the room and I'd take the two on Skyliner. I actually lost count how many times I sat on the wooden benches in the Skyliner in our week. One time we Skyline'd to Epcot and caught the boat, eventually back to HS. Then Skyliner to AoA. It just became a game to them. My wife was texting me wondering where in heck we were.

Don't get me wrong, the Skyliner is about as boring as transportation can be. It's not a "ride". It's transportation between points. For some reason, my kids really got hooked on floating above the landscape, seeing people in the CBR pools, wondering if they could see us too. The experience teased something magical to them. Maybe its the same reason we all love riding Peter Pan?

looking forward to riding it next month.
I loved the old ride across MK and looking forward to trying this, even if its just back and forth.

I can't wait to ride the Skyliner. Totally different views that I have never seen before. We were there in July/Aug and leading up to then, I was hoping it would be open. We stayed at the POP with a lake view so I got to watch testing. It will be amazing for me to ride it.
