Couple of questions:

Did the quality of the food at LTT make you sick or did you just eat too much?

Was Hoop-Dee-Doo worth the money?

Was Sci-Fi's food good enough to match the atmosphere?

Thanks!

wow! were you on a dining plan? It sounds like you ate really good! Are you doing dining report? If not, how was Tchoup Chop? What did you order, and was it good? Thanks! :flower1:

gangreen4jc - I don't think we ate to much, actually we didn't even have seconds....it just didn't set well with us this trip, we have eaten here before and we were fine, I don't know!! The Hoop-Dee-Doo has gone up in price, I believe about $10-15 I noticed the people in front of us in line paid more than we did, and I didn't have a discount....we have done this show several years in a row, its always funny. I think we will skip in for the next couple of years just for a change. As far as the $ for the food and show, yes it's a bit steep, but totally enjoyable. I am one of those who just loves the sci-fi, now all we ever get is a burger, shake and kids pasta and we have never had a bad meal, even at dinner when the burger wasn't on the menu or the pasta, thats what we asked for, and thats what we got. It's just a fun and different place to eat!!

drumflower - no, no dining plan!!! I do plan on doing a report when all is settled here!! This was our second trip to Tchoup Chop and we just love it. It is polynesian, asian. We started with steamed dumplings and egg rolls, I had a wasabi, sake mary (bloody mary) and my daughter had a japanese soda in this cool bottle where then pop it open and a ice cube bursts in the bottle, then we shared a salad with baby pea springs, yummy and my daughter had the hawaiian chicken and I had the macadamian crusted salmon, just delicious and some reisling to got with that!! We shared a frozen coconut souffle for dessert, it was surprising good, I don't like coconut, but it was so light and subtle. Just perfect!! Then our car service from FLTours picked us up and we saw the 9:00 La Nouba show. It was an incredible day!!

:flower1: Wow I have never had a bloody mary made with sake! It sounds great! Is it a small drink, or a great big one! My kids will have to try the japanese soda! What flavor is it or what is it like. It is hard to picture the ice cube thing. I wonder if they store it frozen ? How do they keep the ice cube frozen and not the drink? Very interesting! We have a ps for this on my b-day and am really getting excited. I haven't heard a bad review of this place! Only awesome ones! :flower1:

Thanks for the post. You ate at some of our favorites. Ill be waiting for your report.

drumflower - the bloody mary was small :guilty: but really delicious, and not that strong but really flavorful, I could have had another easy!!! LOL
The japanese soda tastes just like sprite or 7-up really good!! Its not frozen, some how when he opens it, it comes with its own opener, it just pops up, unless its at the bottom and when the bottle is opened it comes to the top, I don't know. Let us know what you think!! When are you dining there?

Wow, you ate at some great places! I have a friend who went to WDW last Christmas and she had been dying to try Sci-Fi but her dh started to grumble that she had chosen too many sitdown places so she made their p.s. for a late lunch. They got there several minutes before their p.s. but there was a long wait - like 45 minutes. Literally as they were being seated it went from the lunch menu to the dinner menu change over and as you know the dinner menu is a good bit different than the lunch one and they only wanted burgers and their server told them "Too late, we just switched to the dinner menu." My friend was like, "we have been waiting for 45 minutes. You mean to tell me someone who got seated a few minutes ago can order a cheeseburger and we can't? She told them no. They looked at the menu and dh wasn't happy so they left and my friend was disappointed. I told her that sounded odd to me unless the server wanted them to order pricier items so her tip would be higher? I don't see how hard it would be for them to throw a couple of burgers on a grill. It's not a big deal of course.

Silly question ... but where did you get frozen bananas? This is something I think my two dd's (4 and 20 mos when we go) would love! :flower:

Thanks
Kerri

Daise thanks for the info - I have never heard of that soft drink concept and we had an exchange student from Japan, I'm sure it would be a hit with my DD's. Can someone please tell me where Tchoup Chop is?

Thanks,
Alice

i was so sick after we ate there last january. we went there for an
early dinner & hated it. it was the only place we didnt like.

Rafikifan - Thats too bad about their meal....maybe it was just the server, we eat there every year and never have had a problem!!

KerriMc - The frozen bananas are sold in the ice cream stand throughout the parks. Not all of the parks have them, I had them at animal kingdom and I believe mgm...they are chocolate dipped and coated with peanuts.

:D

Did you gain 500# or what? If I ate that many sit-down meals in a week, you'd be seeing me on the next season of The Biggest Loser.
