4/5/03--Dinner: House of Blues ~ Not as impressed as I thought I would be. Decor inside was zany but the food was just so so. I had a cheeseburger and so did my parents. My fiance had a caesar salad. This was probably our least impressive meal of the entire trip. I'd give it a 5 out of 10.

4/6/03--Lunch: Cinderella's Royal Table ~ We ate here last year for lunch and it was one of the more enjoyable meals. I can say the same this year...great break from the parks. Atmosphere is wonderful and the food is good and not too overly priced. I had the Coachman (The Coachman - smoked turkey breast, ham and Muenster cheese with beefsteak tomatoes on foccacia $12) my fiance had Major Domo's favorite pie (Major Domo's Favorite Pie - tender slices of prime rib of beef simmered in rich cabernet sauce with red skinned mashed potatoes, crowning a light pastry $15) and my parents had Caesar salad and beef barley soup. My sandwich was pretty good. My fiance loved his dish and my mom thought the soup was delicious. I would give this place a 8 out of 10.

4/6/03--Dinner: Spoodles Pizza Window ~ Never been here before. I got a sausage calzone, my parents had a sausage and mushroom pizza and my fiance had a cheese calzone. I love calzones so I was pleased. The food was pretty good and the calzones were totally reasonably priced too! I would give this a 7 out of 10.

4/7/03--Lunch: Flame Tree BBQ ~ I had eaten here in 1999 but nobody else from my group had. I suggested it and it turned out to be a good choice. My fiance and I used our meal tickets here and that was a great decision, we saved money! He had the ribs along with key lime pie. I had a pulled beef sandwich with chocolate cake. My parents had pulled pork sandwiches. This was one of the best counter service meals available if you ask me. YUMMMY and it was filling too! I would give this place a 7 out of 10.

4/7/03--Dinner: ESPN Club ~ We ended up here after changing our minds a million times. I got the chicken dingers, Mike got the big nacho platter and my parents got some sort of sandwich. This meal was ok...nothing to rave about. Food was filling, decent prices....I would say a 6 out of 10.

4/8/03--Lunch: 50s Prime Time ~ This meal was the highlight of our entire trip. I must say that I was NOT expecting to like it at all. I don't do 50s stuff, and I don't really care for the goofy antics I'd heard about. We decided to try it out and I was really glad we did. We had a blast with the waiters (my stepdad got spoonfed by our waiter) and the food was good too! My mom and I got chicken pot pie, my stepdad got caesar salad and my fiance got the Golden Fried Chicken. This meal was a 10 out of 10 for my party.

4/8/03--Dinner: In the room ~ BORING!

4/9/03--Lunch: Hurricane Hanna's Grill ~ Spent the day at Stormalong Bay and decided to eat there too! I had chicken fingers and so did my parents, my fiance got a cheeseburger. All the food was really good and it was low priced since it was counter service. I would give this place a 7 out of 10. Great bargain.

4/9/03--Dinner: Beaches and Cream ~ We decided to eat here after not having used our meal vouchers! I got a hot dog with onion rings, my fiance got a prime rib sub with onion rings, my stepdad got a burger and my mom got a chicken sandwich. The food was pretty good, but my hot dog was nothing spectacular. I should have gotten the burger after hearing the folks on here rave about it! We also got a kitchen sink....wow! We barely made a dent in the thing....ah well, we can say we got it! I would give this place a 7 out of 10.

I really like it when people rate the restaurants with points or grades, easier to compare.

Glad you had a good time at the Prime Time. We may need to go back during this next trip.

Yea 50's PTC! I love, love, love that place! The chicken noodle soup is wonderful and I could live on their meatloaf. I guess it helps that I'm a baby boomer.

Sorry your experience at HOB was less than stellar. I love their food, but would agree their cheeseburgers leave something to be desired.

Gald to hear you had a good time!

We were at House of Blues within the last two weeks for the first time ... I also was EXTREMELY disappointed in it from both a food and atmosphere perspective. Would not recommend to anyone and will not go again.

Ohana's -- Everything we had heard about and more. From the CM's to the atmosphere to the food. Highlight of the trip!

Crockett's Tavern -- We have loved this in the past and were a bit disappointed this time. I didn't think the food was quite as good as before. A week ago we ate there and had the very, very worst CM serve us (if you can call it that) ... we waited and waited to give our drink orders, then waited and waited, then gave our food order, then waited and waited, etc. Very disenchanted. We are hoping things will improve before our next visit to WDW.

River Roost Lounge (Port Orleans Riverside) - Entertainment by Bob Jackson was wonderful ... lived up to our expectations from reading the boards. Food and service was good too!

I didn't know you hadn't done 50's PT before  I'm glad you liked it. ;) I always get the meatloaf, it's yummy too. :)

We'll definitely have to try Flame Tree BBQ. :)

Thanks for the great reviews!

Thanks for the reviews!

50s PT is a surprise favorite of mine, too! Love the fried chicken!

I also agree that Flame Tree BBQ is a great option at AK.

Looking forward to trying lunch or dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table!

Thanks for the reviews!

We also had a very good experience at CRT for lunch -- I think it's underrated.

Trapped-Parent, Crocketts Tavern was open? I thought they closed, years ago. I remember they had the same meal (fried chix and ribs) that the HDD serves. It was a great casual place and pretty cheap!

Do they serve meals now?

Thanks!

Thanks for the reviews niks81! Was Cindy's busy at lunch? I'd love to have a meal inside the castle, but I'm not really a big fan of the princesses ... so I'm thinking of either dinner or lunch.

Enjoyed your reviews. I love lunch at the castle too and always order the Coachman sandwich.:D

Yes, I truly agree that the castle is underrated. Their food is good and it isn't too expensive at all. Great break from the parks, love the atmosphere. I would say that it was moderately busy, but not slam packed. I think we will go there many times in the future.

Good reviews! 50's PT and Cinderella's Royal Table are on my list for next time...:D

I think I'll put Cindy's on my list ;) Thanks niks81!

Regarding Crockett's Tavern -

They basically have a full service bar with a "munchie" menu -- pizza (which can also be ordered for take-out) by the piece or whole, nachos, etc.

We have been going there over the past 4 years and it has always been this type of menu.
