here's where we ate and some quick reviews (we are a family of 5 with kids ages 16, 13, and 10):


California Grill Everyone loved this place This was definitely the best meal of the trip, and we will now have to eat here whenever we're in WDW! Some people have been asking about proper attire. Most women wore nice dresses, men had on Dockers type pants and collared shirts. I did see some people in shorts and t-shirts, but they were in the minority.

Ohanas Another great meal DH and my oldest couldn't get enough of the shrimp. Excellent service, and great food


Fifties Prime Time We ate here twice for lunch during our stay. What can I say, we just like this place It's a fun place to eat!

Chef Mickey's for breakfast Another must do whenever we go to WDW. The food is standard breakfast buffet fare, but it's another fun restaurant ( and very convenient for us to get to from our room at the CR )

Rose and Crown Pub we ate dinner here the night of July 4th. We were given a table out on the patio without asking for one . Again, excellent service, and the food was great.

Mama Melrose's We had an excellent lunch of 4 different flatbread pizzas, which we all shared. This restaurant is definitely overlooked- It was a nice cool and quiet break during the day, and you rarely have to make PS

Counter service Columbia Harbor House, Casey's, Yakitori House, Cosmic Ray's, and lots of counter service snacks

I had PS for all the sit down meals except for Mama Melrose. If you have any questions about specific entrees, ask away

Did you happen to notice if Chef Mickeys had the regular cheezy breakfast pizza or just the peanutbutter one?

Enjoyed your reviews. California Grill and Mama Melrose are two of our favorites, too. What time did you dine at CG? We usually dine on the early side and rarely see ladies in dresses other than sun dresses. Always see plenty of nice shorts on guys too especially in warm weather. Have seen young people dressed up for prom though.

Cam- yes they had the cheesy pizza at Chef Mickey's BCV- we were there around 7ish. I can't say enough about the food at the California Grill I forgot to add Tusker house to our list of counter restaurants- We had lunch there on the 4th of July- no lines!!! I had a veggie wrap sandwich that was great

Thank you for the reviews. You tried some of our favorites, Ohana, CG, and I was pleasantly surprised by Yakitori House. We have been meaning to try Rose & Crown. You said the food was good. May I ask what you ordered? I'm a sucker for prime rib

Thanks so much! That is DS's and my favorite. DS is even telling his friend, who is coming with us, about it. I was getting the feel they didnt have it anymore from some reviews Ive read. Now Im dying for some...and have to wait 7 weeks.

Raficifan- 3 in our party had the fish and chips, my oldest son had the steak and prawns, and my DD had the cottage pie off the kids menu. I also had the mushroom appetizer, which was excellent, and DH and I split the Imperial Sampler (5 6 0z ale and stout assortment). we were ale members of the clean plate club

Thanks for the wonderful reviews. We will be trying California Grill on our next visit for the first time. I still cannot believe that we have never eaten here after so many visits to WDW. Glad you liked Rose & Crown Pub, it is one of our favorites we eat here just about every trip.
