Just back...had a great trip!

We're back from a great trip! Had a wonderful time in the parks and a great meet at Confisco's. So nice to put a face to everyone we met After making a dent in the many loads of laundry I'm staring at I will write a trip report! The characters were out in full force the whole time we were there and they were awesome! The kids had a ball with so many of them. We also had so many excellent meals this trip. More so than ever every employee we encountered were so pleasant and helpful. They are truly an amazing bunch of people!

Hi Robin

We got to meet DocBosch, Barry, MsDisney, MIB9's, Notatourist, h20jag, h20jag's wife and daughter and Randy (secondcook). I have a few pictures that I will post as soon as I get them back!

Barry, my older son got to finally ride the hulk my little guy just wasnt ready and I dont think he met the height limit anyway.

DocBosch, My son was so impressed with you he talked about you for the rest of the trip...Kevin said this and Kevin said that. You left quite an impression I did have a hard time explaining why he couldnt fall off a ride to have one named after him, however!

I'm glad to hear that everyone had a good time, and that your son rode Hulk! (Did he do either of the Dragons?)

I saw the poor kid sitting at the table, surrounded by grown ups, looking bored (and seemingly taking it out on his little brother) and remebered how that felt not so long ago. So, in order to prevent him from resenting you for making him be bored at a theme park, I struck up the conversation with him. I think being able to relate to an eight year old says alot about me (what it says exaclty, I'm not sure ).

I did have a hard time explaining why he couldnt fall off a ride to have one named after him, however!

He asked what happens if he falls off the coaster, and I think h20jag said they would name the park after him (refering to the grand lawsuit that would occur). So I ran with that, and told him that Dr. Suess fell off the Hulk and they made a whole Island for him. Sorry about that.

That's very funny about your 8yo being told that about falling off a ride. I have a 9yo (and 3 other kids) and it's so much fun to toy with their brains at that age. I'll have to try that one on him when we are there.
