I don't think we will go back any time soon.

We spent all last week at the world. Stayed at the Hilton Bonnet Creek (loved it!) and rented a car to get around. The weather was perfect. Not too hot or humid. Crowds were generally good. Except Saturday night 5/8 at MK. MK was open till 12 am and it was BUSY!

We only did parks during 1st half of the day. Till about 1 or 2pm. And took it VERY EASY only 3-4 attractions per day. we chilled at the hotel / pool in the afternoons.

Things we loved (4 & 8 yr old boys)
AK - Its a bugs life, Nemo Show, Safari tour, primevalwhirl, petting zoo, flights of wonder (:thumbsup2:thumbsup2)
MK - Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain railroad and Pirates of the Carribean ride, buzz light years,
DHS - Tower of Terror (DS 8), playhouse disney show (DS 4), Indiana Jones stunt show,
Epcot - Mission Space (DS 8), Nemo Ride, Ellen's universe of energy, the countries

Our favorite parks were AK and DHS. We arrived at 9:15 at park on DHS day and went over to TSM around 10AM. wait was 60 mins and fastpass was 4:45 - 5:45. We decided to skip it this time.

We tried one sit down restaurant, Sanaa and it was good. We were quite impressed with AKL theme and would love to stay there one day.

Overall it was a lot of fun while we were there and didn't want to come back. But once we got home we realized we were exhausted. All that walking caught up to us big time! We take family walks after dinner everyday so its not that we don't walk. But this was a bit too much walking for us.

We found parking at parks and taking trams less tiring than using bus transportation. Less walking involved. Also, getting there at park opening was a great strategy! Most rides were walk on (except TSM! What gives?)
We used the touringplans crowd calendar and it was spot on for best/worst park recommendations.

I love WDW and would go back in a heartbeat if it was just DH & I. But I don't think we will be back till the youngest is old enough to walk without getting tired ;)

"Just back" threads are a better fit on our Trip Reports board, so I've moved this one. :)

It looks like you did everything right and had a good trip! We too like to drive to the parks. DH really doesn't like WDW trans except for the boats.
While staying at Bonnet Creek do you get free parking at the parks?

No, we paid for parking at the parks.

Hilton charges $13/ night for self park and $20/night for Valet. And then its additional $14/day for disney parks. So its almost $30+/day additional for parking.

Actually that helped with talking DH into staying at disney resort next time. Whenever that may be.
