Before I give a brief synopsis on my seven wonders of the trip, just a thought to go along with them.

A group of students were asked to list what they thought were the present "Seven Wonders of the World." Though there were some disagreements, the following received the most votes:
1. Egypt's Great Pyramids
2. Taj Mahal
3. Grand Canyon
4. Panama Canal
5. Empire State Building
6. St. Peter's Basilica
7. China's Great Wall
While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student had not finished her paper yet. So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list. The girl replied, "Yes, a little. I couldn't quite make up my mind because there were so many."
The teacher said, "Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help." The girl hesitated, then read, "I think the 'Seven
Wonders of the World' are:
1. to see
2. to hear
3. to touch
4. to taste
5. to feel
6. to laugh
7. and to love."
The room was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop. The things we overlook as simple and ordinary and that we take for
granted are truly wondrous! A gentle reminder -- that the most precious things in life cannot be built by hand or bought by
man.

So, my seven wonders of my trip are:

1. To see: Wishes - Awesome. And Stitch joking around with us. Tell him there's a cookie in your backpack and see what happens.

2. To hear: My grandchildren having so much fun with everything. Squeals of delight on RnRC. Singing "Laughing Place" on Splash Mtn and the pirates song on POC. Shouting "boo" to the "pop-up dead people" on HM so they are scared of us. Delighting in the wonders of SAB. SO many sounds of joy.

3. To touch: My heart, in meeting fellow DVC-er and DIS-er maureenmac in person. We had a wonderful chat in the charming sitting room at BCV. She delivered a picture of my father in the 1940's with her cousin's father who used to be our next-door-neighbor. Her cousin and my sister used to play together. And she gave me story about my Dad to scrapbook along with the picture. Without DVC, I would not have this. It's such a small - and wonderful - world!

4. To taste: Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup, French Goat Cheese Pie, Grapefruit Cake, Watermelon Water. Just a few of my favorites at the Food and Wine Festival. And finally getting to Beaches and Cream. Yummy!

5. To feel: Right at home in my DVC 1 bedroom. Perfect amenities, quiet view, just the right size. Wonderful staff at BCV and especially the Mike the Bellman who did an extraordinary favor and is just now getting a letter sent to WDW. Couple of things missing/broken in the villa (lightbulb, iron) were fixed. I told them "sometime today" for the lightbulb (it was done) and "immediately" for the iron (came in 10 minutes). Never saw the alligator, but saw the very big turtles. Resort clean and cheerful. Very happy.

6. To laugh: Never so hard as when dancing with Brer Bear in my Fairy Godmother costume during the Share a Dream Come True Parade. My Cinderella DGD8 and I decided to slip the costumes on for the parade and he came over and grabbed onto me when the float stopped. He brought me into the middle of the circle and "ordered" me to dance. Will post a picture when I get them uploaded. And just an aside - that night at the MNSSHP - every character walking on our side of the road stopped at me - especially the Villains. We laughed so much.

7. To Love: Just being a DVC member makes it all different somehow. It really does feel like Home and I love that feeling. I love the Boardwalk and the Epcot Resorts area in general. And of course, I love sharing DVC with my family.

And just one more thought. The first night I was there, I went to Epcot about 8:30 and stood on the UK/France bridge. The torch started up and I looked up and noticed one of the lights on the bridge had a rather extensive network of spider webs. They were moist in the mist of the night and the tiny droplets of water sparkled in the glow of the torch. And during Illuminations the colors and lights danced off the webs. I smiled at the pretty sight, feeling the irony of recent posts here. Even spider webs can have their beauty, I guess.

Cheers to everyone and the wish to find the wonders and delights in all of your trips.
