We returned today from three nights at WDW and two nights at Universal. We were at the Magic Kingdom on Tuesday and Epcot on Wednesday. We walked on EVERYTHING!!! The weather was spectacular - it was between 75 and 80 everyday. We were staying onsite at Universal, so we had FOTL.

At the MK we did Big Thunder Mountain RR, The Haunted Mansion, It's a Small World, Mickey's Philharmagic and Space Mountain without standing in any lines. At Epcot, we did Soarin' the first time without a line and in the afternoon we used a FastPass to ride Soarin' again. Soarin' was fantastic. It was my favorite ride of the trip. We've done WDW many, many times, but this was the first time for Soarin' and I LOVED it. My DH and DS did Mission Space and we tried to ride Space Ship Earth, however, it broke down in the beginning of our ride and everyone had to be walked off. The first 15 minutes they just kept repeating the annoying announcements to stay in our seats - there's been an unscheduled stop. After 15 minutes or so, the lights came on and they told us that the ride could not continue. It took another 20 minutes or so to be walked off. It was frustrating, but we understood they are trying to be safe.

All in all, we had a very nice trip. It was 80 degrees in Orlando yesterday and today it is 28 degrees in Detroit :scared1:

Sounds like you had a great trip and great weather! (as I sit here typing this and it's a whopping 20-something degrees outside *sigh*)

Welcome home and thanks for sharing!!

Sounds like my kinda trip! Glad to hear you had a nice time.

By the way, was the weather in the 70's-80's for your entire stay? What kind of clothes would you recommend packing? (We're leaving in 2 weeks, and I think the weather will be about the same). Would you be comfortable in shorts? jeans? short sleeves? I imagine if its sunny and you're doing a lot of walking, you warm up pretty quickly.

Any advice? Thanks! :flower:

It was in the 80's during the week, we had a cold front move through last night and it's about 60 ish with a stiff north wind blowing, it's pretty chilly out there and if you were in the parks today you would need a jacket and something on your ears esp after dark.

It is supposed to warm up again this week with another front moving through next weekend.

Thats the weather here this time of year, it can be anywhere from 80ish to 30 ish depending on the day. I would pack a little of everything because you just never know.

p.s. Glad you guys had a great time!

Yes, we were very lucky with the weather, but at this time of the year, you must be prepared for anything. It was much cooler in Orlando when we left this morning. If we were in the parks today, we would probably need sweatshirts or jackets.

We did not have to use our jackets or sweatshirts at all on this trip - even in the evening. It was perfect. The best weather we've ever had at WDW.

I've not been yet, but when planning our trip, I looked at the year before for a clue. I've since lost the link, but it is Underground something.
In March, the hi's were in the low 70's for a few days, but one day was only 54. The lows were in the 40's. We're planning to wear jeans or slacks with short sleeved shirts, and hooded sweatshirts that we can take off and tie around our waist if it gets too warm. Maybe a few shorts since they are small and can be fitted in. I'd say it is probably the same for February. I would check weather.com just before you leave, and hope that they are right. They're may be a cold or warm front that could completely change things.
Probably layers is the way to go.

Ditto on the great weather and ride waits :sunny: High 70's and no waits! ::yes:: Longest wait was for Soarin and we did that first thing and waited maybe 15 minutes. Ended up riding it three times, twice on Tower of Terror and twice on Rock and Roll. Ate at French Bistro, Canada, Vickie and Als, Mexico, the Brewer at Boardwalk etc. I had ADR's but other than Canada we didn't see big dining crowds. It was amazing!! :flower3:
