We were at the parks last Thursday & Friday (May 8 & 9). Thanks to the strategies found here, we were really able to make the most of our time there.

RSR - in the past, we always lined up for a fast pass first thing. A few people here recommended riding TSMM first (since there is no fast pass & waits are typically 40+ mins), then getting a RSR fast pass. That's what we did, and it worked out great. TSMM was only a 5 minute wait, and our fast passes for RSR were at 1:30 in the afternoon. I was actually hoping for a later time so we could ride at night, but you get what you get.

Frozen meet & greet - I've posted this in a few other threads but will mention it here too. We went on Friday (non-early entry day) and ran for it at rope drop. It was a 2-hour wait, but there were a ton of people behind us looking at 4+ hour wait times. So, that's pretty much the best strategy I know of. Just make sure you're at the front of the ropes at rope drop (I was maybe 4 people deep).

Big Thunder Ranch - I can't say enough good things about this area of the park. There is a character greeting in the back (past the BBQ and petting zoo), and there is hardly ever anybody back there. We got to see a bunch of characters we've never seen before. All the rabbits were there: Roger Rabbit, Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh, White Rabbit, Brer Rabbit, and Thumper. We also saw Woody, Minnie, and Pluto. There was only 1 person in front of us in line for Rabbit, and nobody behind us. So after we got pictures, Rabbit hung out on a bench with our girls for about 5 minutes. They were so thrilled to have him all to themselves! Bonus: the food at BTR BBQ is good, and the bathrooms there are never crowded.

Overall it was a fun trip. It was pretty crowded due to a lot of teenage school band groups, but the weather was great. Already looking forward to our next trip! :thumbsup2

No Fast Passes for TSMM? Is that all the time or does it change when it's busier in the summer months? Is there a list for rides with no Fast Passes (I'll be going at the end of June)?

No TSM FPs.

We have done TSMM plenty of times since RSR opened and there is never a wait at rope drop. One time we thought the ride was closed but it was empty because everyone was at Cars Land. The last time, we finished the ride, there was no one in line and the CM asked if we wanted to go again. We could have done three in a row but my arm was ready to fall off from playing so much.
